Hallo, just upgraded to v11 and notice that our fileReplacements in the configuration no longer work (I have seen the issues on github). The files are in a config folder in assets and this gets copied over, is there a way that i could replace config.json with config.mockserver.json when running ng serve
Hi all, ng update --next is stuck on release 8, shouldn't it be pushing to rc1?
after upgrading to 12 from 8, getting this error for scss files
\assets\scss\background-color.scss:8:27: Unknown word
You tried to parse SCSS with the standard CSS parser; try again with the postcss-scss parser
any insights into this issue ?
Miloš Lapiš
@mcbhushan And what is in the position \assets\scss\background-color.scss:8:27?
@mlc-mlapis .primary-background-#{$i} from the below code block
@for $i from 50 through 1000 { $hue : $i; .primary-background-#{$i} { background-color : map-get($primary,$hue); }; .warn-background-#{$i} { background-color : map-get($warn,$hue); } }
Miloš Lapiš
@mcbhushan So, the 27th character is 0?
hi i want to lean angular 8 you can send me plz books help me
Jakub Barczyk
@aymenbraiek you might want to start off with a tutorial project available here: https://angular.io/tutorial If you can, buy the "Pro Angular 8" or "Pro Angular 9" book.
Could someone give me an example on stackblitz (or any other platform) how I can make source maps of a compiled angular library work in the consumer application? I enabled sourceMap's vendor property to true, but still no luck. I can see that ng packagr generates the source maps, but so far, in the consumer application, chrome's devtools cannot find it
I don't want to directly include the public-api of the library in the tsconfig, I would prefer keep things as they are naturally, therefore path points to the dist folder where the library has been packaged using ng packagr. Or is there any other suggestion? I could not find any relevant information in the docs
Hi, in angular there's this databinding in the HTML using the hashtag that creates a local variable
<video #movieplayer ...></video>
like the movieplayer variable
I was wondering how can I access the variable in the typepscript file?

hello, I would like to do a quick question to the experts here
is this memory leak issue only "fixable" by upgrading to eUI 11.1 ?
Luke Crooks

I am having awful trouble using angular ssr with universal, I keep running into ReferenceError: Document is not defined when I am in my code base using:

import { DOCUMENT } from '@angular/common';
@Inject(DOCUMENT) private document: Document,

And also using domino to mock document in my server,ts:

global['window'] = win;
global['document'] = win.document;
global['branch'] = null;
global['object'] = win.object;
global['HTMLElement'] = win.HTMLElement;
global['navigator'] = win.navigator;
global['localStorage'] = localStorage;

export function app() {
And I don't get any debugging messages as to where this "ReferenceError" is taking place other than /home/luke/nodejs/ng-app/app-frontend/dist/server/main.js:218533 Document])

hi, Im really confused about the difference of sourceMap config that provided both angular.json and tsconfig.json.
for example, what happen when sourceMap is true in tsconfig.json, but false in angular.json

could explain me how I can seperate an angular library with namespaces? I created a sample github repo: https://github.com/Norby125/LibExportTest2/blob/master/projects/my-lib/src/public-api.ts

As you can see in the public-api, I'm trying to split up the library's controls with namespaces. I tried those two:

  • export * as something from '..'
  • using namespace and import export

If somebody could help me out, I would really appreciate it, either modifing the code, or, showing a relevant resource.

Purpose: I'd like to create a control library, where all the controls would be separated via namespaces

Hi guys. Can we exclude a single file from being minify while enabling the optimization: true?

Hi, I'm building a library with angular 8 version and I have this error

An unhandled exception occurred: Cannot find module '@angular/compiler-cli/src/ngtsc/typecheck/api'

Hey @crooksey you need to use isBrowser check, as window and document ect doesn't work on the node server as it doesn't have browser api stuff : https://fireship.io/snippets/angular-universal-ssr-cookbook/

Hey looking back several months, most questions on here don't seem to be answered or responded to. Is the core Angular team still tracking and monitoring this gitter or is there a better venue/location for posting "how do I do XYZ?"-type questions or reporting possible Angular bugs?
@mamadoutoure I too facing same issue with ng new giving "legacyBrowsers is not defined"
by chance have you got any solution?

Hi, I'm hosting Angular app under /custom-path/ and I have problem with sockjs-node. Angular app is trying to get info from localhost/sockjs-node/info. It should take this info from localhost/custom-path/sockjs-node/info. How should I configure serve script to make this work? I've tried to set publicHost in angular.json but it is not working for me. Do you know if there are any problems with this param? The problem started to occur after update project from Angular 9 to 12.
While running the build using ng build command, the build fails to generate the Index HTML file with the following error
@DryUser - I'm having similar issue except I only have "✖ Index html generation failed.". No other message after that. For you message, did you look at this issue - angular/angular-cli#20760

We are using angular 11 for application development.
Can we use the --vendor-chunk true for production build?.
Are there any problems?

Hi, I would like to contribute to Angular CLI. I have 0.5 years of experience in Angular. May i know which issues i can take
Hi, does this PR mean we can not use --deploy-url next angular version(v13) since it is marked as deprecated? angular/angular-cli#21537

I'm building (prod build) a mid-size project and the process is taking between 4 and 6gb of RAM and 4 cores at full for about ~15min. There is nothing "weird" going on in the project (hacks, assets being embedded, dirty hacks, etc..), just plain TS. I've searched for possible solutions, but I didn't find anything relevant, except maybe a suggestion to disable de "buildOptimizer" in angular.json. Is there any concrete reason why the build process is using so much resources? Is there any way I can "debug" the process and see what exactly is using these resources?
Hi my proxy.config.json can not work well while requesting more data. Chrome perform "request is not finished yet". BUT it is work well while using nginx after building the codes. Who can help me? Thanks

Hello guys, i want to make ecommerce on angular with paypal and firbase integration, does anyone have examples or help me from where i can start

I have an issue since upgrading to angular 12. The index.html generated by ng build is broken. We have a custom <script> tag in our source index.html:

from src:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
    <meta charset="utf-8" />
    <base href="/" />
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1" />
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" />
    <link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="favicon.ico" />
    <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:300,400,500" rel="stylesheet" />
    <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/icon?family=Material+Icons" rel="stylesheet" />
      function docReady(fn) {

  <body class="bootstrap_theme" id="intranet">

When we serve or build the project, the resulting index.html is broken:

from dist:

Has someone met this issue? Can someone please help?
