But that doesn't have anything to do with ur CORS issue ?
You have to authenticate for the request I guess

Well I can not tell you how your backend wants you to authenticate yourself or based on what it returns unauthorize.
Generally you add the Authorization header to your request, manually or by using a http interceptor...

@frederikprijck it's in the 'data binding and filter' gotcha section. I'll look again once I am back at my place, but I read that section twice because it mentioned some significant speed differences as compared to jQuery.

This might be a silly question, but now that Angular 1 is moving towards component only architecture, and adopting a lot of Angular 2’s design patterns, why can’t we get rid of scope altogether and drop the $ctrl prefixes in our templates, since everything is bound to the component anyway? It seems that in a component-only app in Angular 1, the $ctrl suffix has become completely redundant, as you don’t access anything from other scopes anymore anyway.
I get that backwards compatibility is important, but perhaps a global flag could get rid of scope and instead of scope only component controllers would be accessible from all templates
Removing the need for $ctrl and further closing the gap between ng1 and ng2
