that table doesn’t look terribly material design like
what’s wrong with just making a <table>?
if you need to get the colors based on your theme, that’s a different issue

I think what @adilogin15 is referring to is that, when compared to bootstrap, there is not particular attention given to tables as interactive design components in the angular material demos in the "Getting Started" site. As such, I would consider the Grid List: https://material.angularjs.org/latest/#/demo/material.components.gridList

looks like he wants to make a table with grey borders
not sure why a framework is needed for that at all
if he wants pointers as to how to make that table look like a material site’s, then cards in a grid would work

@xliiv, please see my comment to @dmackerman on August 15th. In short, I think your requirement would in turn require a change to that autocomplete controller and directive.

You know ... that contact chips demo on codepen; the autocomplete menu fails to render the filtered list of items, and I don't think it's the fault of the demo, unfortunately I think it's codepen. https://material.angularjs.org/latest/#/demo/material.components.chips

@dkemper01 you are right
Basically i was looking material design type table
And as far as i have read the material design documentation I haven't came across any type of md tag specifically for table . I mean there are lots of those for buttons , dropdown menus etc
Sorry just new to angular material

support for data tables is coming later
however, I don’t know if that’s what you want with that example
rather than large blocks of text

@adilogin15 yeah, I know what you mean. The grid list's GridTileDirective, for example, just uses a figure element for its template. The figure element is nested in the parent md-grid-tile, which is then nested in the md-grid-list element. This is a long way from tables, but achieves an arguably better (and responsive) layout in the end.

On the chips demo though: I added some stuff and was going to make a pull request if anyone finds this useful. A - you can click the chips now. B - select a chip and shift-delete to remove that chip and all after. http://dankemper.net/t3/examples/angular/material-start/app/contact-chips-demo.html
