constructor(private elementRef: ElementRef) {
const eventStream =Observable.fromEvent(elementRef.nativeElement, 'click')
.map(() => this.asyncSelected)
.distinctUntilChanged();
eventStream.subscribe(input => this.value.emit(input));

@bouboumsk I don't really understand what you're trying to do, maybe you can post an example somewhere?

I'd say either clone one of the quickstart repos (https://github.com/angular?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=start) or use a yo generator
there's also a quick start on the angular website https://angular.io/docs/ts/latest/quickstart.html

Hi there, i've been reading the layout documentation and I had a question about flex containers. Do people nest components inside of flex containers? E.g. Would someone put a toolbar inside a flex container or would it be it's own element within a layout container? If you Wanted the toolbar to span the top of your app?

Anyone know if v1.1 is on a cdn somewhere? The latest version on https://developers.google.com/speed/libraries/#angular-material is 1.0.4

I'm mocking something up via codepen and was adding my sources that way. Does github provide a link to the library as well?

@sterfry1988 if you just want to test against the latest, you can use something like https://rawgit.com/

point the urls at the raw versions of the files from the angular-material bower repo https://github.com/angular/bower-material
