Could anyone tell me how to fix this problem angular/material#5492. In safari when I use layout-fill directive, my block doesn't have any height. I tried set min-height: 100%, min-height: auto, but still in safari this won't work. Any thoughts? Here the example https://codeshare.io/1Z3UZ

Amanuel
@amanuel2
May 26 2016 10:13
You can either use Angular Material
Or Ionic Material
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:14
ok which one is better you think with good documentation and good stability in compatible with existing ionic app
Amanuel
@amanuel2
May 26 2016 10:15
Ionic Material is not stable at all
Ionic material basically has no doc.. it dosent have much atleast
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:16
ok
Amanuel
@amanuel2
May 26 2016 10:16
And they have told me in an issue
they are not currently suporting it
But Ionic Material is designed specifically to mobile(good for you)
But Angular Material is for everything.. but it is highly documentedhere
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:17
I see
Amanuel
@amanuel2
May 26 2016 10:18
at the end its your choice.
For example
In my forum im doing(which you should star btw ;) ) i use Angular-Material
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:23
ok one more question is
do i loose features of Ionic-framwork if I adapt Angular-Material
like navigation things.
Amanuel
@amanuel2
May 26 2016 10:25
Yes.
But you can easily apply them..
Let me show you where i manually apply them
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:29
ok

<ion-list>

<ion-item>
<md-button class="md-icon-button" aria-label="GoBackIconButton" ng-click="goBackTopic();" id="buttonBackIcon" class="buttonBackIcon">
<ng-md-icon icon="arrow_back" style="fill: black" size="20" ></ng-md-icon>
</md-button>

</ion-item>
</ion-list>

Amanuel
@amanuel2
May 26 2016 10:35

May 26 2016 10:37
actually our firm is planning for cross-platform apps
so my concern is whether my angular-material based app will work on IOS and windows platforms
johnSowingo
@johnSowingo
May 26 2016 10:40
it works but it can be slow depending on the directives used and the complexity of the app
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:42

johnSowingo
@johnSowingo
May 26 2016 10:45
@amanuel2 nope was talking to @kvteja
@kvteja depends on your priorities and the complexity of the app
really cant answer that
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:48
does angular-material is a plugin or it is a framework?
johnSowingo
@johnSowingo
May 26 2016 10:49
its similar to bootstrap, use it for UI components and css
it does not force a structure on your code
the demos are good examples of what to expect
kvteja
@kvteja
May 26 2016 10:51
ok

Using npm to install material is failing for me... I was wondering if this is failing for others?
This command used to work: npm install "git+ssh://git@github.com/angular/bower-material.git#master" --prefix=./public but now it fails due to a "Permission denied (publickey)" error.

Hi
I have a problem when I want to integrate Angular Material with ionic app for mobile devices, when I test the app in real devices the ng-click fires twice.

The angular material getting started page mentions ionic is an unsupported integration (all the way at the end of the page...) https://material.angularjs.org/latest/getting-started
