need a help for incorporating modal inside my angular application... i am using angular material dialog plugin...below is my component from where i am trying to call serverinfocomponent as popup or dialog..

import { Component, OnInit } from '@angular/core';
import {MdDialog,MdDialogRef} from '@angular/material';
import { ServerinfoComponent } from '../serverinfo/serverinfo.component';
@Component({
  selector: 'app-metric',
  templateUrl: './metric.component.html',
  styleUrls: ['./metric.component.css']
})
export class MetricComponent implements OnInit {
//@ViewChild('popup1') popup1: Popup;
 // @ViewChild('popup2') popup2: Popup;
  constructor( public dialog: MdDialog ) { }

  ngOnInit() {
  }
   openDialog() {
     console.log("hello");
    this.dialog.open(ServerinfoComponent);
  }

}

the above code is not throwing any error and the openDialog function is also called as i can see "hello" on console but this.dialog.open(ServerinfoComponent); function is not getting fired...

Hi Guys, just a quick question - is there a tree like model in Angalar2 that I can use to be notified when where are any changes to it?
I want to use it as a menu structure and basically index all the nodes so that it’s easier to retrieve afterwards
for example, menuService.get(“admin.settings.ui”);
it would means that I have to know when a node has been added or removed in order to update my index
Sorry, wrong thread/room
