@foxjazz
is there a way for drag drop to not modify the source
Brad
@bradtaniguchi
@foxjazz Yes, just don't use the helper functions used in the demo and handle the data how you want
Joe

``
 <mat-nav-list class="local-mat-nav-list">
    <mat-list-item *ngFor="let link of splistData.list; let i = index" cdkDropList
                   id="'driver'"
                   [cdkDropListData]="splistData.list"
                   [cdkDropListConnectedTo]="['dropListDesto0']"

Hey guys, how can I add popup on browser window/tab close
like an alert
power-amin
@power-amin
who knows how can I do it
Joe
@foxjazz
@power-amin where are you seeing this done?
Joe
@foxjazz
I have tried a number of things even detectChanges() the problem is the drop function utterly destroys the source view. The data is still in the list.
Joe
@foxjazz
is it possible to have a nested grid-list like:
<mat-grid-list cols="columns.length" rowHeight="300px">
  <mat-grid-tile
    *ngFor="let col of columns"
    [colspan]="col.colspan"
    [style.background]="'darkblue'"
    [style.color]="'lightgreen'">
    <mat-grid-list cols="1" rowHeight="100px">
      <mat-grid-tile *ngFor="let row of col.spdataList" class="example-list"
                     [style.background]="'black'"
                     [style.color]="'white'">
        <app-data class="app-data-2" [setdata]="row"></app-data>
      </mat-grid-tile>
    </mat-grid-list>
  </mat-grid-tile>
</mat-grid-list>

Hello, guys I have 2classes SCSS and I want to use them in three places is there a way to write them one time and go to the file that I want to use and write the name of the class
Jorrit
@jorrit-wehelp
@extend .someOtherClass is the easiest way
though using a @mixinis more common, so it's more explicti that's it might be reused in multiple places

@hepaestus
How come my Component SCSS files never seen to work?

What’s the right way of creaiting a mat-selection-list with an alternative checkbox? - https://stackoverflow.com/q/59098362
Derek

AlecTaylor
@AlecTaylor
@derekkite And how do I override the icon?
Derek
@derekkite
@AlecTaylor I don't think it is possible. Essentially it is an indexed list with a list of selected items. You could write your own

Anyone know if you can pass typed objects as data to MatDialog .open() calls? I've used MatDialog before, but I'm getting this injection error: ERROR NullInjectorError: StaticInjectorError(AppModule)[SmallEditorComponent -> MatDialogRef]: StaticInjectorError(Platform: core)[SmallEditorComponent -> MatDialogRef]: NullInjectorError: No provider for MatDialogRef!
Rafe Kemmis
@kemmis
nm. if I had just read the fckn error and clicked on the file listed in the stack trace, i would have found the issue straight away.

After I set the Value of a form element the input element becomes read only. Is there a way to make it editable again?
Brad
@bradtaniguchi
@hepaestus Probably formControl.enable() if your field is disabled
Peter E Olsen III
@hepaestus
Any Ideas on why I have to click a mat-radio-button twice for it to work properly?
@bradtaniguchi SO I tried that and it did not do anything. The control is enabled its just read-only.

Hello everyone, can someone tell me what I did miss (in testing) with the following error?Unexpected directive 'MatListItem' imported by the module 'DynamicTestModule'. Please add a @NgModule annotation.
Brad
@bradtaniguchi

@marcobuschini Sounds like your doing something like:

@NgModule({
  imports: [MatListItem]
})
export class DynamicTestModule {}

When MatListItem should be its parent module MatListModule

So, just to be clear you need:
import {MatListModule} from '@angular/material/list';
@NgModule({
  imports: [MatListModule]
})
export class DynamicTestModule {}
Marco Buschini
@marcobuschini
@bradtaniguchi It was a totally different issue. I didn't understand what was going on.

Has anyone tried out the 9.0.0-rc branch migrations yet? I ask as I tried it and the migrations are failing in the custom project lookup in upgrade-rules/hammer-gestures-v9/cli-workspace.ts I'm getting the
❯ Updates Angular Material to v9
    - apps/manager/tsconfig.json: The HammerJS v9 migration for Angular Components migrated the project to keep HammerJS installed, but detected ambiguous usage of HammerJS. Please manually check if you can remove HammerJS from your application. More details: https://git.io/ng-material-v9-hammer-ambiguous-usage
Could not find project to perform HammerJS v9 migration. Please ensure your workspace configuration defines a project.
✖ Migration failed. See above for further details.
I have a valid defined project it's just not directly in src so it feels like the resolver in cli-workspace is trying to be too specific about how to find a project
Paul Ryan
@paullryan
oh and this migration did work in another project that has the traditional project layout of src/app just not in my monorepo where the project is in apps/<app-name>/
Derek
@derekkite
https://angular.io/guide/workspace-config there is a configuration for that type of layout
Paul Ryan
@paullryan
@derekkite yep I'm using it (based on an NX build)
I'm just saying that something seems to be wrong with the custom lookup of that project that was added to the v8 to v9 migration for hammer in the @angular/material stuff
