@dmackerman
sure is.
just use the md-autocomplete in your custom directives template.
it will work :smile:
Gaurav Saini
@gauravsaini03
Let me try it :D
Dave Ackerman
@dmackerman
<custom-directive ng-model=“model.whatever”></..>
you may have to manually manage the ngModel from your directive.
Gaurav Saini
@gauravsaini03
ok

Hi
How can I limit a textarea, you put a scroll?
Gustavo Andres
@9andresc
Which is best in your opinion? Angular Material or MaterializeCSS?
Vincent Martínez
@eyko
i’m currently using material design light on a (small) app and loving it
no dialogs yet though, but i’m ripping that off from materializeCSS
(personally I prefer dealing with html/css/someJS to dealing with angular directives)
Gustavo Andres
@9andresc

@dmackerman I tried with custom directive. Got into some problem Can you help

I am trying to make dynamic auto-complete directive but getting some issue regarding syntax

'\<md-autocomplete\ md-search-text="searchText"\ md-selected-item-change="selectedItemChange(item)"\ md-items="item in findCity(searchText)"\ md-item-text="item.first"\ md-search-text-change="null"\ md-selected-item="selectedItem"\ md-min-length="0"\ md-floating-label="Select City">\
<md-item-template>\
<span md-highlight-text="searchText" md-highlight-flags="^i">{{item.first}}</span>\
</md-item-template>\
</md-autocomplete>'

I want dynamic value instead of searchText, this value will be come from html via custom directive

Patrick Finkbeiner
@pfinkbeiner
Sorry, @gauravsaini03 I don’t get it… searchText is your actual search term when you start typing in that autocomplete field. What do you mean with »I want dynamic value instead of searchText, this value will be come from html via custom directive«
Gaurav Saini
@gauravsaini03
Actually, the problem I am facing is that when I include the same custom directive multiple times on a page, then it appends to same model and both works and get value of same.

Hello, for a form input, what is the difference between ng-maxlength vs md-maxlength?
Felix Itzenplitz
@cebor
@vinkaga i think md-maxlength will also add a max length counter below the field
but both will rise the maxlength form $error

Hello all, i recently came across "angular-video-background" a fullscreen video background in angular and i am asking the experts in here, if its technically possible to place a button or a navigation bar over the video ? Thanks :blush:
Patrick Finkbeiner
@pfinkbeiner
If it is a basic HTML5 video player you can almost do anything with it…
Marc Manthey
@macbroadcast
yes, its a HTML5 video player, just found http://www.videogular.com seems what i was looking for, but thanks anyway :smirk:

        // SC.get('/tracks', { limit: page_size }, function(tracks) {
        //     List=tracks;
        // });
        SC.get('/tracks', { limit: page_size, linked_partitioning: 1 }, function(tracks) {
        // page through results, 100 at a time
         List=tracks;
        $rootScope.$broadcast('event:ItemsReceived');
        });
    };
var List={};
List.setData = function (tracks) {
        var page_size = 6;
        // SC.get('/tracks', { limit: page_size }, function(tracks) {
        //     List=tracks;
        // });
        SC.get('/tracks', { limit: page_size, linked_partitioning: 1 }, function(tracks) {
        // page through results, 100 at a time
         List=tracks;

I am setting the tracks to new values from controller but its works only the first time others time it getting the result for the first

does mdMenu have to be triggered from an icon? seems a little bit limiting
oh, nevermind. ignore me :fire:

Does anyone ever worked with uiRouter and nested views with a shared controller? I try to show some HTML with ng-if=“checked==true” inside view B. In view A you can set checked to true with ng-click=“checked = true”. However the HTML appears not immediately, it seems that the something is too slow…
Patrick Finkbeiner
@pfinkbeiner
Nevermind… I figured out that they are obviously not using the same scope. Using a single $rootScope variable fixed it…

@sunnynegi
How can i use the Tabs with external view content in angular js material
In material site there is no description
Ed Pelc
@epelc
You have to use the selected tab id
sunny
@sunnynegi
is there any example ?
Ed Pelc
@epelc
Then use an ng-switch with the id to show/hide your views
