@sunnynegi
ok
but i want to make simple minimize functionality with md-dialog box so user can show and hide while working.
Tim
@4tron
So you kinda want it to float over the content as a little flat box in the corner as the users navigates around the site? ... still not quite sure what you are looking to achieve
sunny
@sunnynegi
i know what to achieve @4tron
as you mention in your above comment that
" you kinda want it to float over the content as a little flat box in the corner as the users navigates around the site" that's i want
Tim
@4tron
you would probably want to package all the functionality as a module .. you might need a custom directive to inject on the main index.html .. im not sure sorry
sunny
@sunnynegi
np
but thanks for help
Tim
@4tron
hope you get it
working

Been following @sunnynegi messages for aa while and from what I understand, the functionality is similar to how windows work in a desktop platform.
User may minimise /hide it and layer bring it back up..
sunny
@sunnynegi
absolutely right ?
Sudhir
@rihdus
And it seems md-dialog doesn't offer this out of the box.. I would suggest creating a wrapper service which provides minimize and maximize functionality..
However there is not need bother with the dialog controller.. U may still let it run each time the dialog is shown/maximized.

I think there should be more tips in the docs on how to switch from other popular frameworks like Bootstrap. For example, how do you make a responsive container like bootstrap with the flex directives. Or, what about data tables (which are in the material specs, but ngMaterial docs have no word about them).
Todd Werelius
@Todd-Werelius
@felixbecker there are a number of features and components that are not yet implemented, they are moving at a pretty rapid pace, but some of the components, data tables are not likely to be in release 1.0 which they are closing in on, but will be tasked for 2.0 instead. The MD spec has been added to quite a bit since they started the project

@pushkaradhikari
how to create responsive angular material flex ?
Dave Ackerman
@dmackerman
@pushkaradhikari what do you mean?
you can use the sm md lg prefixes on flex
Witold Cyrek
@wcyrek-comrise
is this project supposed to replace all of bootstrap? or is it likely I will use both?
Felix Becker
@felixfbecker
It seems like it is aiming for providing an alternative to bootstrap, but some components in bootstrap are not in ngMaterial.
Witold Cyrek
@wcyrek-comrise
I see. Thanks! I will be using both I guess, jsut hope there wont be any overlap, as people never had the forsight to use very complex class names for CSS, as it makes it harder to use.

Hi there!
I'm trying to add angular material to an existing project of mine and i'm having issues with the styling. It seems that is not load any style
blob
for example this is a list with divider
i'm using angular 1.3.15
isntall though bower and use browserify
i have inject the dependecy and add also default theme in the config
i'm not getting any errors and i'm stuck at all, not find anything online
Any ideas anyone?
Al Pagan
@wayfarerboy
@vapits Would be good to see a codepen or online example, if possible.
Vassilis Pitsounis
@vapits
I know @wayfarerboy but it's impossible to transfer the app to a codepen example it's a huge app :/
Felix Becker
@felixfbecker
Does anyone here have experience with switching a large application thats currently in production from Bootstrap to ngMaterial?
Al Pagan
@wayfarerboy
@vapits np. So you've added the 'ngMaterial' require when you initialise your app: angular.module('myApp', ['ngMaterial'....])?
Vassilis Pitsounis
@vapits
Yes
And my html look like this in the spesific tempalte:
<md-content>
<md-list>
<md-list-item class="md-3-line" ng-repeat="item in datasetData.data">
<div class="md-list-item-text">
<h3>{{item.city}}</h3>
<h4>{{item.country}}</h4>
</div>
<md-button class="md-secondary">Delete</md-button>
<md-divider ng-if="!$last"></md-divider>
</md-list-item>
</md-list>
</md-content>
Al Pagan
@wayfarerboy
@vapits And what does the config call look like when you're setting a default material theme?
Vassilis Pitsounis
@vapits
$mdThemingProvider.theme('default')
.primaryPalette('blue')
.accentPalette('blue-grey')
.warnPalette('orange');
and of course $mdThemingProvider is injected there
Felix Becker
@felixfbecker
Because there are a few things that I'm struggling to replace:
  • Basic responsive container (<div class="container"></div>)
  • Navbar (combination of toolbar + tabs maybe?)
  • Accordion (vAccordion on npm)
  • Tables with hover and success, danger, warning row styles
Al Pagan
@wayfarerboy
@vapits And checking the <head>, are there any inline styles being injected at all?
Vassilis Pitsounis
@vapits
nope, not inline stylings nowhere in my app
Al Pagan
@wayfarerboy
@vapits Definitely sounds like ngMaterial's not initialising, although you're saying there are no errors so that would suggest things are hunky-dory. Hmm....
Vassilis Pitsounis
@vapits
Yeap i beleive that too. I;m using browserify and i have added there also and it seems that is loaded
require('angular-material');
require('angular-aria');
added both in my libs
