is there a way to programmatically open and show selection for md-select? when the user chooses a certain option, i want them to see the dropdown open to lead them in the right direction
jesse snyder
nvm! angular.element('#foo').trigger('click'); works fine
Jan Borchers
Hi guys!
is anybody else having problems with the examples on codepen? I find myself having to swap out the script import in the settings for material to ""
jesse snyder
@humancatfood which of them specifically?
Jan Borchers
every one I've been trying
by default they're all trying to import "" but that fails
Jan Borchers
it works if I replace it with with the cdn-address from googleapis. I can't remember where I got that from, just thought I'd let somebody know
Can anyone explain why this issue was closed as wontfix without explanation?
Is there a branch that would enable me to use Material with Angular 2?
Aliaksei Kuncevič
@ccit-spence I was exploring that for some time and yes there is one but pretty raw and there is not much material components
@ccit-spence some one has build that module but it is not working with the latest angualr2 builds
@riapp thanks for the pointers. I still think we are going to start with angular2 and just wait for the UI stuff to catch up. has been the main road block for adoption.
Aliaksei Kuncevič
@ccit-spence what UI u gonna use instead until material will show up?
@riapp Old fashion create it as I need it. Everything else seems to flaky
How could i make a sidenav like the one on the offical website ?
so the menu appears "fixed"
jesse snyder
@steezeburger : thanks
my problem was with the layout attribute (and the lack of in my code…)

Hey all/ @everyone!!! I've been working on making a snackbar for my works component library. So I've taken advantage of InterimElement class/function.
I'd love to simply use the interimElementProvider that material.core uses so I don't have to piece together something externally in my own code. Is there a way to import via npm, etc. lets just say $mdCompilerService and $$interimElementProvider without having to import all of angular-material

@ThomasBurleson you here?

Hm I’m using the same setup with no issues… Nevertheless I ‘d recommend using 0.11.3 material. At least the 1.0 is released.
Are you require ngMaterial anywhere?
Jon Rimmer
Can anyone explain why this was closed as wontfix?
Why not release the rc versions as packages?

Hi too all
Yesterday I tried out A2 in combination with nw.js (aka node webkit). That's really a killer feature. Never been so easy to create desktop apps for Win/Mac/Linux
