guys, is there a way to set beckground color of a button? I tried everything - setting themeProvider in config, then setting different theme on parent container, and background is still white...
Manuel Pacheco
@ShadowManu
@ContePanetta_twitter an angular + typescript project could have more intellisense about the app pieces.
@samosale depends on your problem. If its just setting the background color, use the md-raised class on the md-button. If its changing the theme background color: use the themeProvider. If its using a color different from the theme, the angular-material@1.1.0-RC5 version has md-colors directive.
Aleksandar B.
@aleksandar-b
@ShadowManu I used theme provider, it doesn't change the background- just a color. I just used md-raisedand it works but changes color to black and add a whiteframe, and I don't won't that. md-colorsseems interesting but link doesn't work.
Manuel Pacheco
@ShadowManu
didn't notice gitter transformed it to link (it was because of the 'at' symbol). If you want a link, take this, and this ;)

@aleksandar-b
@ShadowManu md-colors doesn't work at all
I am using 1.5.5
although i have some errors in console
Manuel Pacheco
@ShadowManu
check your angular material version, which at least should be angular material 1.1.0-RC4.
Aleksandar B.
@aleksandar-b
@ShadowManu it works, tnx! I am getting the same error again but everything is ok... Do you know anything about this eror https://docs.angularjs.org/error/$injector/unpr?p0=falseFilterProvider%20%3C-
Manuel Pacheco
@ShadowManu
do you have a binding somewhere saying {{ somethng | false }} ?
Aleksandar B.
@aleksandar-b
probably, i used snippets
Manuel Pacheco
@ShadowManu
seems like someplace there's a false filter, and angular is not finding that filter provider.
do some ctrl+f search on | false. Good chance on finding something
Aleksandar B.
@aleksandar-b
it is good now! :D

is there an easy way to have just margin/padding-top or bottom with md material build-in classes/directives. I can't use css

@samosale have a look at the “Layout Margin, Padding, Wrap and Fill” section in this page : https://material.angularjs.org/latest/layout/options

morning y'all
was considering using the ui.layout "holy grail" (http://plnkr.co/zB4mhgJyVz7GlwG8JmeM)
but just wanted to ask how hard it would be to replicate in material, or should I just use the ui.layout and put my material stuff in each container ?
jmls
@jmls
also, how can I "theme" a div so that it appears like a toolbar, for example
(as in the colors etc)

hi guys, I'm facing a little problem : the md-select directive, used with multiple attribute, shows checkboxes in dev mode, but once built, it changes the option color when you click on one. Any ideas on this issue ?

Hi all!
How can I use md-tooltip inside md-select?
for now, when I open md-select and hover on md-tooltip I can't see tooltip text

Hello, i have been trying to follow the demos in regards to the mdpanel . I can get the mdpanel to open and my controller and everything works but i cant get the panel to close via a button.. The docs say to say to use the MdPanelRef but i cant figure out how to pass that to my panel controller. This is how i am calling the panel from my main controller: panelRef = $mdPanel.create(config);
panelRef.open()
.finally(function () {
panelRef = undefined;
});
i tried passing panelRef via locals but i always get close is not a function
thanks
whittssg
@whittssg
i also tried adding $mdPanel to my panel controller and then calling $mdPanel.close() but i also get that close is not a function
whittssg
@whittssg
i can assign panelRef to my rootscope and get it that way but from the looks of the docs there is another way
