However, I wonder how stable it is to depend on the order of the panels in the QueryList? So, I am still kind of wondering if there is a way to attach some ID or some data to the panel that I can later pull out using QueryList and compare if that's the one I need. Any suggestions?

i need to make selected item in my dropdown meny colored by diffrent color
i made it by css but its not worked
how can i make selected item or active item take the diffrent color of items
i use class active but its not working
@ychaikin this is for angularjs material, check the material2 room
same for you @Ahmedgadd although it sounds like you might just want to check the angular room for your question
Yaakov Chaikin
@codymikol oops. Sorry.
Michael Prentice
yep, you can find it here: The Angular Material channel is https://gitter.im/angular/material2. Also neither Material channel is the right place to ask about Bootstrap.
@Ahmedgadd yes you should use the same versions. But you should also not be using Angular CLI to serve content in production (which it sounds like you might be doing if you are using it “on the server”).

hey peeps. I've hit a wall trying to figure out what to change after upgrading to angular 1.7.5. I'm getting Namespace ''angular'.material' has no exported member 'IDialogService'. and a bunch of others, after already having material 1.1.10 running fine, but upgrading angular. Is there some new way we're supposed to reference dialogservice ?

Not too sure. Could the name attribute throwig the ngModel ?

Hi All,

I have a component the below template in a separ

import { Component } from '@angular/core';

@Component( {
selector: 'jhi-search-component',
template: `
<form class="form-inline" (ngSubmit)="search()" >
<div >
<span class="col-sm-4">Search By</span>

      <select class="form-control col-sm-4" [(ngModel)]="propkey" name="propkey">
              <option value=" "></option>
             <option   *ngFor="let prop of entity | keyvalue"> {{prop.value}}</option>
    <select class="form-control col-sm-4 " [(ngModel)]="operation" name="operation" >
                <option value='='>=</option>
                <option value='<'>&lt;</option>
                <option value='>'>&gt;</option>
       <input class="form-control mr-sm-2 col-sm-4" type="search" placeholder="Search" aria-label="Search" [(ngModel)]="searchvalue" name="searchvalue">
   <button class="btn btn-primary float-right" type="submit">
   <fa-icon [icon]="'search'"></fa-icon>

} )
export abstract class SearchComponent {
searchvalue: any;
operation: any;
propkey: any;
entity: any[];
abstract search();

and i have addded the component in another component as <jhi-search-component></jhi-search-component>

I would like to set the this properties in another component that acutally uses it ,in the component that actually displays this i set the this class properties ,
but still it is not reflected in the screen

As this template uses ngModel my expectation is that the two way is enabled and that it shoud detect the changes and display.

But it didnt

Also the search inspite of the component implemeting ..it didnt execute it.

an anyone suggest me what is wrong..

All these properties will have their values only after ngOnInit of the component actually using this.

Hey all! I'm tryingto implement autocomplete with filter as directed here. I'm facing issues and here's the error log
Uncaught Error: Template parse errors:
Can't bind to 'formControl' since it isn't a known property of 'input'. ("example-full-width">
        <input type="text" placeholder="Pick one" aria-label="Number" matInput [ERROR ->][formControl]="myControl"
        <mat-autocomplete #auto="matA"): ng:///CourseModule/AddTopicComponent.html@2:79
I have imported theuto MatAutocompletedModule but it doesn't seem to work.

Hi, are there any free/open-sourced pre-built full website templates with angular+material? The only example i could find so far is https://github.com/angular/material.angular.io (for the website https://material.angular.io/ )
Michael Prentice
@ksurendra @WickedBrat1 @smfaizalkhan @PRUDHVi100 this channel is for AngularJS Material (1.x). The Angular Material channel is https://gitter.im/angular/material2.
@rbnzdave currently the types are defined and maintained externally as part of the DefinitelyTyped repo and not part of AngularJS Material. You could try submitting an issue there. I’ve been investigating adding official type support for AngularJS Material, but there is nothing ready yet.
Michael Prentice
We announced 1.1.11 today. This was a really big release with lots of fixes for a11y, IE11, and more. Early adopters have already found a couple of regressions that we plan to fix in the next week or so. You can read more in our blog post: https://blog.devintent.com/announcing-the-angularjs-material-v1-1-11-release-fbdcb67930cc
Vijayabaskar Velukumar
Hi can anyone help .. which one best to use angularmaterial or bootstrap. because i dontknow. can anyone say pros and cons of both framework
Michael Prentice
@vijayabaskarkgfsl that’s not really a good topic for this channel, especially if you want an unbiased response. You would also need to specify which version of Angular or AngularJS you are using.
Michael Prentice
We’ve released 1.1.12 today with two regression fixes to issues found in 1.1.11. We’ll try to get it posted to the CDN and announced tommorrow. Then we’ll be focusing on the 1.1.13 release.
Michael Prentice
1.1.12 is now available on the CDN. I’ll post a release announcement soon, but the Changelog has most of the details: https://github.com/angular/material/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#1112-2019-01-03

Ooops ... Thank you @codymikol
No worries :)
Abdul Quadar
@codymikol hey, is there any way to assign primary,accent and warn color dynamically using color picker for material theme?
Muhammad Tahir
Screen Shot 2019-01-09 at 8.11.27 PM.png
hey , how can we customer the tabs of angular material ? i want to customize its height , width , background color for active and disabled tabs , color and also want to align the tabs with margin
please help gyes
@tahir-jamil you should be able use use css selectors to do that
@Abdul-Quadar-Quazi you have to do it in the config phase I believe
We have a workaround to do what your describing. We basically register a new theme every time with a uuid when a color is changed
I don’t think there is a way to unregister a theme until the browser reloads so depending on your use case it could lead to memory issues
Muhammad Tahir
@codymikol this is the class we have .mat-tab-label {
height: 48px;
padding: 0 24px;
cursor: pointer;
box-sizing: border-box;
opacity: .6;
min-width: 160px;
text-align: center;
display: inline-flex;
justify-content: center;
align-items: center;
white-space: nowrap;
position: relative;
} how can i override the min-width property of material class?
@tahir-jamil check the material2 channel, this is for angularjs 1.x material
