Hey Everyone! I'm looking to see if anyone has ever successfully done a MS Sql Server to Mongo using Mongify? It is possible?
Any hints on what my database.config should look like?

Can you please let me what is exactly meant by this? Also I have a few more questions about Mongify.
"Known issues: Can't do anything to an embedded table "
Andrew Kalek
@anlek
Hey @Xan1912, Where does that quote come from?
Meghdut Sengupta
@Xan1912
From the documentation of Mongify
Also I am having trouble using the sync command
Can you please help me out with the proper usage ?
Andrew Kalek
@anlek
Sync command isn't something I added, post an issue on mongify and the person who added that feature should be able to help you

Great I will do that

Hi All
Can we migrate oracle to mongodb using mongify...could you please tell the exact oracle adapter...I have tried activerecord-oracle_enhanced-adapter (1.7.2) but it not helps anymore...I can able to do mysql to mongo db using mongify
Andrew Kalek
@anlek
Hey @sspr28, I'm sorry to say but I don't know, I have no experience in Oracle, but maybe you might be able to figure out a way to get data from Oracle to mysql and use Mongify to move data that way... good luck!

Hi, I was working on migrating sql server into mongoDB, embedded documents and everything. No issues there. I was wondering how I could possibly my resulting document, and have that embedded in another Document (that does not yet exist) where I can add some meta-data
*how I could possibly take my resulting document
Andrew Kalek
@anlek
@habibkm Unfortunately you can't run anything after the export, but it should be pretty simple to write your own script using mongo driver to work with your data.

Screen Shot 2016-10-31 at 7.56.54 PM.png
as u can see when I use mongo import says "frase" repated many times
I am embedding one table into another as an array, but the name of the table is no needed

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has successfully connected to an Oracle db with mongify? I'm trying to do a mongify check with my db.config file and it results in an error:
C:/Ruby23-x64/lib/ruby/gems/2.3.0/gems/activerecord-oracle_enhanced-adapter-1.7.4/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/oracle_enhanced/oci_connection.rb:7:in `rescue in <top (required)>': Could not load 'active_record/connection_adapters/oracle_enhanced_adapter'. Make sure that the adapter in config/database.yml is valid. If you use an adapter other than 'mysql2', 'postgresql' or 'sqlite3' add the necessary adapter gem to the Gemfile. (LoadError)

@habibkm
@anlek do you know if anybody has connected mongify to an Oracle db successfully?
Andrew Kalek
@anlek
@habibkm No, I have no way to test this myself and I never hear when the product works, only when it doesn't :(
@haperlot It's hard to say what's going on without seeing your translation file.

hi guys, i am using mongify for mysql to mongoDB Version 3.0. my question is: can we use replica set(set of multiple mongoDB server) to mongify data from mysql to mongodb
Andrew Kalek
@anlek
@gabrani99_twitter I don't think you can, but I've never tested, that's outside of the scope I work in on MongoDB. If you figure it out, please let me know.

@anlek hi!
There is a question in MySQL to MongoDB Migration using mongify. Why is every document embed in the first row?
I think When embedding with :embed_in => parentCollection, : on => "linkedField", it seems that mongify (or mongodb) can not find the linked row. What should I do?
