Timo Weiß
@timoweiss
I think the type can be
process
,
node
or
docker
. if I start a
process
it changes to type
node
. But when I stop it, it doesn't change back to type
process
see here:
apparatus/fuge#75
Dean McDonnell
@mcdonnelldean
Odd!
They mean the same I think
Timo Weiß
@timoweiss
if I set container.type back to
process
, I'm able to "start -> stop -> start" the services.
right here:
https://github.com/apparatus/fuge-runner/blob/356e1bd53a0f6bca33b2e7e4c2339c9f9ca3db7f/lib/processRunner.js#L239
Dean McDonnell
@mcdonnelldean
Odd, yeah I’d like to get
@AdrianRossouw
to put eyes over that, I would assume only two types, docker or not
But I’m guessing :D
Adrian Rossouw
@AdrianRossouw
so the types were docker and process
i think node was added later, to enable the communication channel between them

@CodisRedding

Rocky Assad
@CodisRedding
so, why Gitter over IRC?
Gitter seems like a place where conversations go to die for the most part.
I guess the same could be/and is said for IRC
Dean McDonnell
@mcdonnelldean
Better user experience
Adrian Rossouw
@AdrianRossouw
and slack isn’t pro open source projects
we use gitter for all our open source projects, pretty much
and it seems to be doing well enough
in general, if stuff needs to stick around, we prefer people make github issues about them
nobody is going to sift through irc logs for answers either
Rocky Assad
@CodisRedding
nice, I use it more and more, I do find it eaiser to search for offical repo help, and obv getting upn and running for everyone
Adrian Rossouw
@AdrianRossouw
we have like 106 people in the seneca channel
and it’s quite busy
so it’s not like it’s not working
=)
Rocky Assad
@CodisRedding
no no, it works fine, I was just curious
just another window, ya know
