    Hi guys šŸ‘‹
    @wagnert Why do you need an replacement for pthreds? It also works in PHP 7 and as usual, you have to compile it on your own. Maybe pecl support is given, but I'm not sure about this

    @wagnert
    Hi @alpham8 Joe Watkins had stopped working on pthreads. As far as we know, it's not working on PHP 7.3+, so it doesn't make sense to count on a library that is definitely dead :( If you have any alternatives or know guys that keep working on pthreads, it'll be possible to stay with it :-)
    Thomas
    @alpham8

    @wagnert Indeed it works with PHP 7.4. But not for future versions of PHP because of the design as he said in his closing note issue: https://github.com/krakjoe/pthreads/issues/929#issue-410636734

    However, he is the project owner of "parallel" and he said that this is the future replacement of pthreads. But personally for me it doesn't feel like a replacement, because many functions and features of the C pthreads API are missing here

    @wagnert And sorry, I just looked closer now, before I didn't, so sorry about telling you the same story now as you did
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    @alpham8 You're welcome :-) I didn't recognize, that it'll work with PHP 7.4, but I'll try it for sure, so let's see :) But besides this, it'll only make sense if there is someone out there, who takes care of future PHP versions and new functionality like those guy's from the PMMP project ... but they do not have an official statement that they'll take care of pthreads :-(

    @alpham8
    LOL a minecraft server using php. Isn't that unofficial minecraft server thing dead? I thougth Microsoft closed all
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    It's funny for sure, but hopefully those guys take care, seems that they have a need for it, too :-)

    Another question: Why is your website hosted by nginx?
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    :-D As web agency, we've a department that automated such simple server setups and in general for Magento, Neos and all other stuff we do we use some kind of automated Nginx setup :-)
    Thomas
    @alpham8
    ok, good answer ^^
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    We used appserver.io until before 2 weeks and it worked like a charm, but finally to make it easier, our dev ops department decided to use nginx as in all other projects :-)
    Thomas
    @alpham8
    Sounds interesting. What build pipeline or build / deploy tools do you use?
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    Huh, I'm not part of the team, but in general we use GIT, Gitlab and Ansible in Combination with LXC containers, as far as I know :)

    Hi @wagnert

    I have a question about rewrite rule in http server.

    I have a subdomain, I want to redirect any text shown as below to index.php so I can read that text using $_GET function, for example:

    http://sub.domain.com/what_ever_text
    want it to redirect to:

    http://sub.domain.com/index.php?v=what_ever_text

    <virtualHost name="some_sub_domain">
        <params>
            <param name="documentRoot" type="string">destination_folder</param>
        </params>
         <rewrites>
                 <rewrite condition="(.*)" target="index.php/?v=$1" flag="L" />
          </rewrites>
    </virtualHost>

    I couldn't make it work. Is there anything wrong with the above?

    Another question:
    It was long time since last appserver version, is the project still active?
    Thank you.

    Hi @wagnert
    I could solve the problem.
    My Regards.

    @al-Obaidi
    The website is not functioning properly. I want to download Windows version but the link is not working. Is this project dead? it shouldn't.
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    Hi @al-Obaidi šŸ™‚ Yes, we know about the website, but as Joe Watkins stopped and archived the development of pthreads, there is no alternative to bring appserver.io up to PHP 7.3+ Therefore we decided to also stop development and support therefore. Iā€™m really sorry to say this šŸ˜’

    @al-Obaidi
    Hi @wagnert :( I'm very sad to hear this project have reached its end of life. It is a wonderful apps, I'm using it as a webserver in my development hosting vps. I read before there is some problem with pthreads but didn't think it is so critical to end the development of the appserver. So sad for this actually. In mean time your efforts is much appreciated in creating and supporting this piece of gem. Thank you.
    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    Hi @al-Obaidi thanks for your words, they're well appreciated :-) pthreads is the heart of appserver and it doesn't make sense to have a multithreaded application server without multithreading ... so thank you for using appserver and your support. Let's see what the future brings, probably some will create a new multithreading extension and appserver can rise from the dead ;-)

    Documentation is down

    Server Error
    Sorry, something went terribly wrong!

    400 - Template "default.html.twig" is not defined.
    For further details please review your logs/ folder, or enable displaying of errors in your system configuration.

    Tim Wagner
    @wagnert
    Hey @vpassapera you can find the MD of the doc here https://github.com/appserver-io/docs
    The error message is not a appserver one I think? Do you have a Symfony app running on FPM?
