@windwarrior doesn't gw2spidy have an api for calls like historical data?
windwarrior
@windwarrior
Feb 07 2016 21:03
does it? I have no clue
Edgar Doiron
@Coffee4cr
Feb 07 2016 21:03
i know they have an API
not sure if it gets historical data
Error: result.permissions.includes is not a function -- I should probably update Firefox to a recent version >_>

I should have tested it in firefox maybe
Edgar Doiron
@Coffee4cr
Feb 07 2016 21:05
no one should use firefox :P
windwarrior: it's supported in FF43, I'm running FF42. MDN also says it's not available in Edge.

@lye I might have polyfilled it, I cannot test it because my browsers are too new :')

@queicherius you need to build a tool in GW2E that I can just click and it scans my inventory and tells me what I can craft for profit
or is taht already there?

the perks of running arch
windwarrior: sweet; I applied MDN's polyfill locally to make it work :>
(and confirmed that it now works for me without local mods)
windwarrior
@windwarrior
Feb 07 2016 21:13
well its literally MDN's polyfill included

It sometimes amazes me how poor browser support of javascript functions is, like, why did it take till firefox 44 to create Array.includes...
javascript is changing at an alarming rate

@Coffee4cr something like that is not there yet. somewhere on the list, but itll take a while till I get to the new features. Am currently rewriting core functionality in node.js. More fun to play around with (and shared code between backend and frontend is a plus). (Hopefully) soon I can try parts of it out on http://gw2-api.com/, with all the performance fun attached.
@lye TBH the fast changing is the only reason i really enjoy JS now. all the fun new stuff makes it way, way more comfortable to write (mainly arrow functions, async/await & native promises for me). And the tooling with browserify/babel is really sweet.

Your GW2Efficiency is a very solid and complete tool @queicherius, sad thing that most of the comments I get on tools I create are "GW2Efficiency did it"
read: great tool you have created there, now I have to do 1000% more to top it >:D

Yeah, a lot of threads get these comments. :/
Haha. :D
When I was looking at the heatmap I was thinking "cool idea, writing that down for whenever." :D
I strive to put everything in one place, but I ask the original creators of content first
Like the skillpoint section is 95% silveress' data
And eventually everything will go open source. Eventually when i find a year of free time laying around or something. >_>

Yeah tbh, that is what was bothering me, I know very well that any tool that I create will be tested against GW2Efficiency, but I cannot intergrate tooling with your software

btw, if you wish to intergrate any of the heatmap stuff into efficiency, the code is for grabs on GH

Already looked through the code. :>
I even throught about writing something to it, but I didnt know if code reviews would be appreciated :worried:
