oh is wvw rank not exposed? I swear it was exposed
I'm just gonna stuff that on /v2/account
@nukiebaba /v2/recipes only counts crafting recipes -- not mystic forge recipes
IIRC the infused version is a mystic forge recipe
Since it's unlikely we'll ever expose mystic forge recipes via API, there's some effort to document the mystic forge recipes in a machine-readable format here: https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/community/api/Created-a-json-file-for-Mystic-Forge-recipes
oh also I can't read.

do they still update this thread with new pastebins? XD
not sure, haven't really been following it

i should go once more collect all these, remove the dupes again and update my gist :D
once you get used to the git workflow, collecting all that scattered stuff seems like too much effort...

Yeah, that thread still gets updated, I collect recipes I can find on different websites, diff them against it and Mystic does the figuring out part. There is also a git json thing here that I use for efficiency: https://github.com/queicherius/gw2-mystic-forge-recipes
And with figuring out part I mean cleaning up and throwing out bugs. :D

have you also filtered out the dupes?

Mar 05 2016 00:08
If you mean recipes with the same output, no I do that while parsing it

@codemasher
Mar 05 2016 00:09
ah, well, i wrote a script the last time i collected all the recipes from different sources
David Reeß
@queicherius
Mar 05 2016 00:10
If you mean duplicated to the recipes that are in that json, yeah I do that too
I usually just grab everything off a few pages, dump them in one file and then I send mystic something like that: https://gist.github.com/queicherius/c792bdbf1b1b1760454f

yea, there were quite a lot with the same output, exactly the same ingrediens just on different positions >.<

I guess manually adding the ids we need to the wiki will work fine then.

the only mystic forge ids we need are items that have multiple mystic forge recipes anyways.

Mar 05 2016 00:13
umm, @lye, more idea
what about an api where you could validate your recipes against?
ehhh, that would make it more effective to use the API to discover new recipes

@codemasher
Mar 05 2016 00:14
instead of exposing MF recipes
you could let us validate against already revealed ones
I'll think about it some more -- my current best idea is to track how many players in a given datacenter have used the recipe; once it's up to X number of players the recipe is revealed after Y duration.
I hate having arbitrary values, but in my head X=5 and Y=1 month.

thats notbad eiither :D
I'm really not fond of that proposal though, for a variety of reasons.
Mostly the arbitrary numbers bit.

are all the recipe ids sequential?
for the most part, but it's not a strict guarentee wrong recipes maybe
smiley
@codemasher
Mar 05 2016 00:18
not sequential, but at least unique (yet)
heh
lmoa, @lye edit spree :D
I can never remember markdown extension syntax :P

the wiki stores all the mystic forge information itself, so the id itself can be arbitrary as long as its unique

i'd rather type bbcode
but that looks weird in here

So... ferocity scales based on character level (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ferocity) - does concentration and expertise scale the same? Since precision scales differently... and what about vitality? D:
(Trying to create a sane attribute parser.)

@codemasher, so assigning sequential ids doesn't work because SMW has data races on the query for max id value, what do? XD
