umm, is it possible to add another endpoint like /v2/maps but for regions metadata? -> /v2/regions
(regions without maps data)
yeah open a pull request for what you want to see in it

I see that titles landed, is there a link between title -> achievement? or achievement -> title
achievement -> title

yeah found it
very blind today
the other way around would also be awesome, but now takes - worst case - len(achievements) to calculate

#283
(i have no idea why the old commits from a different branch still show up...)
that's fine; I can cherry-pick that commit into a new branch

ok
i'm unsure about a region continent_rect, doubt this does even exist
would be a nice-to-have though
I'll have to check it; it might not currently be exposed if it exists

GW2Treasures/gw2tools@c016db2
codemasher/gw2-database@92d9cb1
so that's the plan
(it does have a continent rect)

(i noticed that it's practically impossible to get hold of region metadata without downloading the whole regions response which includes all maps...)
woohoo!
yeah, I'm really not happy with how the maps endpoints currently work
but I'm not really a happy person in general so

well, i'm with you about the maps endpoint :D
i'm about to build some static maps as noscript fallback and wiki stuff
nice

FWIW I'm hoping to have the tiles updated in the next few weeks

Does it show active title on character?
yeah, I added that to the PR
the titles bit needs backend changes that I just committed yesterday, so it won't be out until the patch after next

but then again, if the thing i have in mind works as intended, i might be able to work with the current responses 1:1
it's just dumping them to DB is a pain because of the missing region metadata

we're asking too much out of a single dev

nah I just need to drink more coffee
and/or write better code so I spend less time fixing my stupid bugs

ugh, just noticed that the latest chrome beta stole the "open in new tab" from the context menu
could always build your own with local source modifications
firefox has also been getting progressively worse

i gave up waiting, i'll switch to outlook 2016 soon...
does that use an embedded version of edge?
if so, it probably crashes less frequently than firefox, at least

smiley
@codemasher
Apr 13 2016 22:07
i have not yet tested it
(me too, that's why i work with it? D: )
but seriously, it's 2016, why are there still no usable email clients to date so that outlook has become the status quo?
ugh, right?
there's always mutt or pine
(and thunderbird supposedly still works, but eugh)
