is it just me or did google completely remove the "view page source" menu entry (except from the context when not on images) in chrome?
i think they did, i noticed it last time as well when i wanted to view the source but the site blocked right clicking... (why does that even still exist in this era??)

it's not even javascript to layout - it's just CSS but with embedded SVG in the HTML it seems, and that goes berserk without the style
(my scriptblocker also blocks the stylesheets)
well I am not using an adblocker because I like paying for services I use. But, it feels like the internet is trying to force me to use adblockers by rudely invading my privacy, installing malicious software, and flashing ads that take over websites.
there is really no reason not to use an ad-blocker nowadays. there are even people (famous interwebs people) who shared your opinion but have changed their mind because ads have become a real problem.
i don't mind non-intrusive ads, but like 80% of the websites use ads that you just mentioned; and besides, i still think that i should have control over what i see in my browser

it was my siemens S10, and Siemens happily exchanged it like 5 times over 2 years or so

there are indeed a lot cases *where it doesn't matter, but as soon as you provide "content" that you want to be read and you do stuff like this, you're doing it wrong.
Tbh, if you willingly disable script & stylesheets, use our RSS feed or gtfo. We are using enough ressources ensuring that our stuff has graceful degradation on old browser version, without having to worry about the 2 visitors that decide to block stylesheets.

I'm serious. If it's readable on IE8+, modern desktop browsers and mobile devices, that's enough and I don't care for the oddballs out there. Unless the client specifically ask for Lynx support, don't expect that from me. Blocking scripts is imo acceptable, and sites I work on can handle that (except for script-based functionnalities). But blocking stylesheets ? you can go [censored].
you can make any site readable in any browser completely without css. even without hassle.
