Pat Cavit
@tivac
Sep 08 2016 16:54
lots of sites and we also use CF for patching

@Archomeda
Sep 08 2016 16:54
i meant it not being easy to enable
Pat Cavit
@tivac
Sep 08 2016 16:54

AWS has terrible administration tools
across the board
their tech is great
trying to configure it is a nightmare
Archomeda
@Archomeda
Sep 08 2016 16:57
ah, so it's a case of setting it up once, and basically never touch it ever again?
Christian
@zeeZ
Sep 08 2016 16:57
I heard AWS also has terrible security
Aparently anone can just call and have their 2factor reset
David Reeß
@queicherius
Sep 08 2016 16:58
It's also a little pricey for some use cases, at least if you are not a business
I hope they are working on the configuration tho. In theory a true cloud provider that manages everything and scales dynamically sounds dreamy...

enabled for render.guildwars2.com also

btw on render.guildwars2.com:

The Content Security Policy 'default-src https: 'unsafe-inline'' was delivered in report-only mode, but does not specify a 'report-uri'; the policy will have no effect. Please either add a 'report-uri' directive, or deliver the policy via the 'Content-Security-Policy' header.

Pat Cavit
@tivac
Sep 08 2016 17:31
lol I don't even know how to check in the chrome dev tools
@darthmaim yeah we're going to enable full CSP at some point but for now are running everything in report-only mode
I don't care about collating those reports though, just need to be able to see obvious issues
ah need to enable the "protocol" column

@tivac

gw2spidy noticably faster to load all the images
windwarrior
@windwarrior
Sep 08 2016 17:40
yeah I checked Material Heatmap and it looks noticably faster
but still trying to figure out whether that is my bias
or actual HTTP 2.0
Pat Cavit
@tivac
Sep 08 2016 17:41
I'm running actual tests against our real sites to verify XD

yep right there
David Reeß
@queicherius
Sep 08 2016 17:42
Yeah, images load from the render API on efficiency
I feels faster! :D
windwarrior
@windwarrior
Sep 08 2016 17:43

but is it bias
Edgar Doiron
@Coffee4cr
Sep 08 2016 17:43
it's a placebo effect
:P
we ate the HTTP 2.0 pill
windwarrior
@windwarrior
Sep 08 2016 17:44

Sep 08 2016 21:40
found it finally
and h2 ofc
would'd have replied with HTTP/1.1 for sure otherwise
might also remove the workaround for the wvw region on my map...
~10s for a hard relaod is pretty good here
(imagine the amount of tiles it loads on a 4K fullscreen...)
