maybe someone tripped on a cable again ^^
also @queicherius, not sure if it's gw2e's fault or the api's fault, but the rising flames mastery achievement shows that it requires 26 objectives on gw2e
latest patch changed it to 23

Right now, I'm working on one of the oldest project (still running) of my company. There's so much fail in a single page that's a miracle the thing crashed only now.

I like the squash & merge. I have a tendency to make a lot of commits while working, so allowing for a squash & merge is pretty great to keep the other branches clean.

but more commits never hurt
they help you to figure out what you were thinking later

lmao
hey, you don't win anything for the most commits, do you?
Aralicia
@Aralicia
Sep 26 2016 14:53
Nah. main reason we have so much commits is that the client had a thing about requiring fixes as soon as they discovered them, and the manager saying yes. So we have a bunch of commits that are "1 changed file with 1 addition and 1 deletion" or similar.

2016-09-26T15:20:43.734Z - error: Error while checking for a new build: Invalid status code:

Nabrok
@Nabrok
Sep 26 2016 15:31
yeah, it'll show that, but it won't crash the bot :)
Archomeda
@Archomeda
Sep 26 2016 15:31
(don't look at the non-existent invalid status code, apparently i fail at logging properly)
may i suggest to put more console.logs?
in areas like @Coffee4cr just encountered
(if not already that is)
Nabrok
@Nabrok
Sep 26 2016 15:33
I believe that'll still show ErrTimeout in the console.
else { message.reply(phrases.get("CORE_ERROR")); console.log(err.message); }
definitely something weird going on

No requests = less memory! :D
not sure what that bit is about tbh
but a backend component appears to be going unresponsive
so requests are just hung for awhile
darthmaim
@darthmaim
Sep 26 2016 17:04
just restart it and everything should be fine for the next few months again
it was last restarted on friday
umm
hmm
Heads up -- I'm increasing the cache times for /v2/commerce/prices and /v2/commerce/listings
(10 -> 30 seconds, 1 -> 2 minutes)
David Reeß
@queicherius
Sep 26 2016 17:22
Could we actually get a list of the cache times / endpoint? That'd be sweet.
The cache times are in the response headers
David Reeß
@queicherius
Sep 26 2016 17:23
Someone that doesnt know about pagination blowing up the price endpoints again? :(
Oh
I never noticed that. My bad
It's cool, it's not well documented
darthmaim
@darthmaim
Sep 26 2016 17:23
maybe include the cache times in https://api.guildwars2.com/v2.json ?
I'm actually not entirely sure which backend component is causing the timeouts
@darthmaim that's not a bad idea
(open an issue, would you? <3)

@Nabrok, the bot is amazing, i wrote my own extension for our raid schedules
it now autoreminds people :D
Nabrok

Archomeda
@Archomeda
Sep 26 2016 17:44
integrated it with my raid signups that i created some time ago in google spreadsheets + forms
committed it in a separate private repo since the use case is very specific
Edgar Doiron
@Coffee4cr
Sep 26 2016 17:53
that's amazing
@Nabrok I know we talked a bit about it last week, but how hard would it be to let you use !build !equip on other characters registered to the bot?
maybe a flag in the config, to enable it
due to privacy concerns
Nabrok
@Nabrok
Sep 26 2016 17:56
It would have to work a bit differently, as you'd need to specify the account and the character name rather than just the character name.
Edgar Doiron
@Coffee4cr
Sep 26 2016 17:56
oh right
so it doesn't store the character data right, goes and pulls it everytime
I guess you have to.
Nabrok
@Nabrok
Sep 26 2016 17:57
yes, aside from a short duration local cache.

I had some ideas for how to automate stuff like #369
might also be able to automate #368, actually
would be nice to not have those be a manual process
@darthmaim I'm still fixing stupid in the WvW stuff
it's taking longer than expected because i suck

Sep 26 2016 18:49
but hurry up at the same time
tiles should begin updating shortly, sorry about the delay
still no .png because I think there's some issue in the tile generator that causes it to crash when generating .png tiles (address space exhaustion, maybe)
I think we fixed the intermittent timeout issue though: http://i.imgur.com/rJnSP17.png

q.q
I'm pretty sure it's address space exhaustion because it does writes async
and since it outputs faster than my hdd can write it basically just exhausts the 32-bit address space

re closing #368, that was just about showing [a] (or something similar) behind authenticated endpoints, #370 was about adding a paragraph describing how to pass API keys
so imo no dupe

Well. I found the rank points issue.
Maybe.
Rabbit is 500 points from 1-5, then 1500 points from 6-9.

lmao just found this

At 2,048 bits, such keys provide about 112 bits of security.

much security!
