only real short-sighted people care about actual years of experience, that's why most places leave it off or weasel out with "or similar experience"
it's shorthand for "don't be brand new to this thing"
I'd hire people without extensive professional backgrounds so long as they know javascript

I'm confused on how this is working.
https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/wvw/matches/stats/1-2/teams/green/top/kills
shows numbers only for the blue team, while
https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/wvw/matches/stats/1-3/teams/green/top/kills
shows numbers for the red team

It is not, no @rikkuness. I could make the repo on github public, but then everyone will see my shit code that I made no attempt at commenting..
I store data for the data in a postgresql database.
It was basically my project for getting into newer web technologies. More recent code looks a lot better, I should do some refactoring of the old stuff to get it up to snuff.

Backend api (https://wvwstats.com/api) is using Node's express.js. Uses pg-promise for postgres access.

If you wanted to look at the source for it, I just opened it up.
Layout uses MDL -- layout I'm using https://getmdl.io/templates/dashboard/index.html
