@lye do you have any clue why the wvw kills/deaths ingame differ so much from the api values? (like 0.4 more k/d-ratio for fsp ingame compared to api)

or is it more like the last week of every 2 months?
because today it has been 8 weeks, but it's not the last week of june
@werdes they're probably tracking slightly differently
the other bit is that the API watches event logs, which sometimes get dropped

cant you change the backend to whatever is WvW using now
or is that also very best effort
anything the api uses is going to be best effort
since the only way to get data out of the map instances is via event logs
the in-game UI stuff is coming from the map instance itself
I believe the UI only tracks kills that counted for points, whereas the API also tracks out-of-combat deaths
(e.g. fall damage)
(which happens more often than you'd think cough haybale misses)

maybe the map instance server could be modified to regularly emit a kd-ratio-event you could use, instead of counting every death your self?
maybe! but that would require gameplay support

Yeah, if the instance server has the solid numbers, emitting the actual values now and then would be easier than counting potentially-dropped logs
(unless the log server drops the solid number log entry too)
right now the map instances emit a "kills since last event" event

the KDR might actually be exported to a backend storage

it's because of how anet handles the website
it's wordpress, but what's on guildwars2.com isn't dynamic; it's generated statically and the files are uploaded on the webserver
so, while the blog posts might have their pubDate correct internally, the site might not get generated until a few hours later
