When will the API work properly again?
by Malediktus.9250 in API Development

Countless items and achievements are still not whitelisted again after the server issue. It has been more than 2 weeks now, when can we expect this to be fixed?

If you do not have any backups you have to go and whitelist all that stuff manually. A lot of things can not be "rediscovered" because they are historic or do not trigger the automatic whitelist for one reason or another.

Friend's online
by Art.8019 in API Development

Is there any way (application, site, API) to see that a friend is online? Run the client of the game and check every 10-20 minutes friendlist is not always possible (takes too much computer resources). In addition, a friend login into the game not every day, and there are no other ways to contact him.

From wiki. "Friends: a list of all the player's contacts showing status, character name, location, and achievement points. Displays additional information for other players that also have you on their friends list". Is there any way to find out when a friend was online last time, how is it done in the guild information? "Additional information" is just level and class of logged character.

I do not know which forum category this topic belongs to. Question about the API, so I created a discussion in this category

Access API by IP
by Artenuvielle.6025 in API Development

When sending looking up the DNS entry of api.guildwars2.com you get two entries (https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=a%3aapi.guildwars2.com&run=toolpage):
A 34.226.105.80 (https://34.226.105.80/)
A 54.85.19.255 (https://54.85.19.255/)
However when trying to access the API by either of these an unsafe SSL certificate is returned and when continuing the server returns 403 - Access denied.

Is there any way of accessing the API directly by IP?
