    hi @SilentCicero! I'm a friend of Simon's from SA. Been playing with some Ethereum stuff for a while now, but play is still the operative word. Big fan of copying chunks of your repos... So I thought I'd join up and see what more I could learn. So far, so amazing.

    @andytudhope hi, thanks and yes copy away!
    Let me know if there is anything you would like to know, especially about ARES. Also, I may drop by SA sometime.

    Hey @SilentCicero (let me know if this is a better place, or if you'd prefer the Consensys slack, irc etc). I was wondering if you could talk a little bit about what the advantages of using a proxy contract are and why you have done so in Ares?
    I am using Ares as an (amazing) template to build a corporate actions voting system out (which is considerably less complex than a full DAO and what you're up to) and just trying to understand if I should deploy a proxy as well or if that is overkill...

    and what do you do with the bytes _calldata that you're passing in to the newProposal function and some other places? Is that just for additional information about a given proposal, or is it more integral than that?

    @andytudhope
    And what exactly are you using the nonces and hashes for?
    Nick Dodson
    @SilentCicero
    I will explain the nonces in the boardroom whitepaper -- when It's finished
