Hi everyone, is it possible to check somehow if the KafkaConsumer successfully connected to the server? I've noticed something weird in our application. I have this issue...when Kafka server is down, everything in application seems to be fine. No exception, no error codes, nothing is detectable in the code. When I turn on LOG_DEBUG, I can see this message on the output: %3|1538580130.464|FAIL|rdkafka#consumer-1| [thrd:192.168.99.100:9092/bootstrap]: 192.168.99.100:9092/bootstrap: Connect to ipv4#192.168.99.100:9092 failed: Connection refused is shown during e.g. new KafkaConsumer(... but that is all. I'm testing this with docker machine (using wurstmeister/kafka and zoookeeper). Can I somehow turn on throwing of exceptions or is this expected behaviour?
