@arocketman
yup.
Centered screenshot.
            BufferedImage renderedImage = SwingFXUtils.fromFXImage(snapshot, null);
            //Some math to get a little better thumbnail. Starting x is at 1/4 of the totale page. Goes for a width of half of the screen size to attempt and get the 'core' of the content.
            renderedImage = renderedImage.getSubimage((int)(screenSize.getWidth() /4),0,(int)( screenSize.getWidth()  / 2 ),(int) screenSize.getHeight() / 2);
            saveImage(padPath, fileName, renderedImage);
commenting out that third code line I pasted out would result in a full screenshot.

@Daytron
You save url in a list on a json file, what is screenshot for?
I do have similar function but for canvas screenshot in mine
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
in the list you can see the url informations and a small screenshot as thumbnail.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
Ah
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
Just thumbnail purposes, the json URL is actually a path to the file.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
Cool
Is this on java 8?
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
yup.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
Great
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
wouldn't work on previous ones.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
I have set my environment to 8, its cool. Unfortunately cobertura for test coverage is not yet supported.
Junit and testfx is alright for now
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
Alright, thanks for the help mate I appreciate it .)
:)
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
No thank you, I try to get a lot exposure, good opportunity for me to learn.
Chat you later, cheers.
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
have a good one mate
Ashkan K
@ashkan25
Project seems to be getting popular :smile:
hello Daytron!
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
Hello Ashkan
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
Hey I've seen the changes :) . How is it going?
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
It's going to be harder than it looks. :( I made a simple test for the static class. The test for GUI is nearly impossible due to user interaction outside the application. TestFX can only test within the scope of the app window/s. But I thought of a workaround to right click > copy link, we can automatically save string link straight to the clipboard to trigger the app's events. I'll have a research on how to do it.
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
well I was planning on adding feature n #8 anyway
would that make things easier?
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
I'll have a look at 8
Yeah that could work :)
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
alright.. I can add it.
i have some time now, I'll work on it :)
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
No hurry take your time, I am currently solving an issue in mine :)
just a couple more until v1.0
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
cool.. how is your project doing?
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
just added features that I need. It's only tests to complete
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
nice :)
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
You can use milestone in issue section, for your release
That's what I did
certain issues are linked to a milestone so you can monitor how many issues left
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
yup, I am just seeing yours.
Looking good.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
Thanks. it's more organize this way
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
done :)
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
That was fast.
Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
haha :D .. yeah well most of the stuff was already there, just had to adapt the clipboard listener to a manual function call.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron

Cool. In order for me to navigate through the ui controls for the test, I will need css id reference for each. If they all have one, then it's easy for to create test cases. My biggest hurdle at the moment, same with my project, is the file chooser for opening and saving file, since it is outside the scope. I am trying to figure it out at the moment.

I thought of creating our own file chooser that extends FileChooser so we can mark it with CSS ID.

Andrea Capuano
@arocketman
Hm... I see.
Ryan Gilera
@Daytron
For example to type into a textfield and click a button
clickOn("#aField").write("This a test.").clickOn("#aButton");
There's also the hard way were we hardcoded the mouse to move to certain coordinates and press whatever it stops to
