Hi there.
I have a quick question.
Joe Fitzgerald
@joefitzgerald
Hi
Tierney Cyren
@bnb
@joefitzgerald When I press enter or tab to autocomplete the path, 4 spaces or a new line appear. Is there a setting I need to turn on/off, or is there another plugin messing autocomplete-paths up?
Joe Fitzgerald
@joefitzgerald
@bnb what packages do you have installed (try apm list) and what version of atom do you have installed?
Also, please paste your keymap

I'm having an issue with this plugin on Windows 7. Any time I try to edit a src/href attribute in an HTML document that has a URL as a value, the whole editor locks up for 5-7 seconds.
Anyone else have this issue?
Danny Fritz
@dannyfritz
@TheHanna i'm willing to bet it is this issue: atom-community/autocomplete-paths#45
Brian Hanna
@TheHanna
@dannyfritz So should I just change the statSync to stat or am I oversimplifying?
Danny Fritz
@dannyfritz
@TheHanna I think it is mostly that, but you need to change the flowcontrol a little bit too to handle the callback/promise pattern
Brian Hanna
@TheHanna
@dannyfritz Thought so. I guess that'll be a project for another day, gotta finish some other stuff.

@dannyfritz
@TheHanna i might work on it sometime this week too. I already had a prototype going long ago.
@TheHanna i'll just make sure i'm in this gitter channel if i work on it

Is there a way to configure some base paths ? (I have a node server where /vendor serve file from /bower_components, i'd like to set this up so when I write /vendor it gives me list of files in /bower_components)

Hi,
after typing "../" i get a list of folders in that path. And when pressed "TAB" that folder path is entered in screen and the autocomplete closes automatically without showing the files in the newly navigated folder. so everytime i again have to delete a "/" and retype "/" in the screen to show the next list .

Any thoughts?

Hi @/all (sorry for anyone who isn't still bothered about this project) I've just been added as a collaborator as I want to add some life back to this project. Buuuuut, How on earth can I run the tests once I've cloned this. This is the first atom plugin I've worked on but basically all the tests are failing. As they are on the CI builds

I would appreciate any help, the package isn't working for me
sometimes it says autocompletion failure

automcomplete-paths has saved me a bunch of times. Thank you very much. It's been incredibly useful. Just checking in the see if there is a way to disable adding the suffix. I don't need the .js at the end. Sometimes i need to switch files between .js and .jsx as a way of marking them. Does anyone know if there is a way stop this package from adding the file extensions to the path?

Hello! I used to be able to use autocomplete-paths in markdown files but that seems to be no longer the case, do i need to do something extra now?
Jenyu
@freejenyu
@lechip "autocomplete-paths" dosen't work in HTML by typing "./" , you can install the package "autocomplete-system-paths", and still type "./"
Oscar Barrios
@lechip
@freejenyu i wasn looking for HTML files, I meant Markdown (.md extention) files
it used to work before but now it does not work properly

Hello all, since Atom received an update weeks ago autocomplete-paths isn't working for me anymore. I am running it on Kubuntu 16.04. Does someone else have the same problem?
Oscar Barrios
@lechip
the performance is really low now, takes forever

im trying to ignore node_modules with ignore patterns, but node_modules, /node_modules, /node_modules/, and node_modules/**/*.* dont seem to work
is ignore pattern capable of ignoring all of node_modules even when atom is set Exclude VCS: false

@cmeessen it's no longer working for me either. I'm on Manjaro

Hello, I also am having the issue with the file counts but I think it more relates to dependency files. how can i increase maximum file count?
Riad Kilani
@f1ss1on
I figured it out . In my case I just included dependencies in Settings > Core > Ignored Names. This may vary from person to person depending on where you store your vendor dependencies.

Atom is a really good code editor, but I must change to brackets because atom's autocomplete of src is very bad because don't work with audio and video tag for example, and no show an automatic list with folders and files available. It's a pity... Anyway thanks for your work!

Hi. This might be blasphemous to ask this here, but is there a version of this (or something comparable to this) for VSCode? My company is starting to switch to VSCode, and the one thing that’s keeping me from switching is this plugin. Everything I’ve seen on VSCode (Intellisense, etc) only does autocomplete from the current path, e.g. import * from ‘./[autocomplete happens for just this directory]. Obviously the killer feature of autocomplete-paths is that you can just do import * from ‘MyFileName’, and it figures out where in the directory tree that is. There appears to be nothing comparable to that in VSCode, which kind of boggles the mind.
