i can imagine we could include some hover information, perhaps by turning on a preference
How do you disable autocomplete+? Or at least the "show suggestions" feature? It is far too buggy and slow in version 1.0.
NVM. It's loaded as a package. :-)
pretty much everything is a package
now i'm curious what Atom looks like if you disable ALL packages, including all the core packages :)
is there an autocomplete for java and groovy?
@stephantaylor It would be helpful if you could quantify specific issues or expectations you have around behavior. As described above, there's nothing actionable that we can do to make your experience better. What packages do you / did you have installed and active when you ran into your performance issues?
how can i check what is the line that is being returned from editor.getText()? console.log(line) does not seem to work.
anything that i log within getSuggestions() is not getting displayed.
hey @joefitzgerald my autocomplete isn't working but otherwise it looks like go-plus is working, autocomplete-plus is activated, and i get a suggestion after 1 keystroke but nothing for more keystrokes and cmd+space doesnt seem to do anything
Waft version of go?
Can you paste the output from Packages > Go Plus > Display Go Information?
Go: go1.4.2 darwin/amd64 (@/usr/local/go/bin/go) GOPATH: /Users/haynes/mount/src/versions/realign/realigner/go Cover Tool: /usr/local/go/pkg/tool/darwin_amd64/cover Vet Tool: /usr/local/go/pkg/tool/darwin_amd64/vet Format Tool: /Users/haynes/mount/src/versions/realign/realigner/go/bin/goimports Lint Tool: Not Found Gocode Tool: /Users/haynes/mount/src/versions/realign/realigner/go/bin/gocode Godef Tool: Not Found Gocode Status: Enabled Oracle Tool: /Users/haynes/mount/src/versions/realign/realigner/go/bin/oracle Git: /usr/bin/git PATH: /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/X11/bin:/usr/local/go/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/local/Cellar/go/1.3.3/bin/ Atom: 1.0.3 (darwin x64 13.4.0)
ooh, i might have an idea now all of a sudden, that gocode is on a linux computer that is remotely mounted in my "mount" directory, ill try pointing it at a local gocode?
Yes that sounds like a good idea!
how do i set that? its not in the settings for go-plus
Via your path
Relaunch atom from terminal once you've made the change
which env variable?
uh, go-plus is still pointing to the same gocode as before
my GOPATH is /Users/haynes/mount/src/versions/realign/realigner/go so maybe it looks there first?
i can remove that gocode
oh, weird, also atom is not using the path from that terminal PATH: /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/X11/bin:/usr/local/go/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/local/Cellar/go/1.3.3/bin/
ah, it didnt really quit
cool, its working now
working for standard libraries, but for my code base specific stuff, i tried doing gotags but am not seeing auto completes for that stuff
does anyone know of a good place to share/find others atom configurations? I'm tired of Web/PHPStorm, and atom is amazing.. but its taking me a long time to get all my plugins/etc setup to the point where I can actually use it to its fullest capacity
@rozzzly I use https://www.reddit.com/r/atom/ but other than that there is nothing. I wanted to create atom-profiles where anyone could share his config and list of installed plugins, but I haven't got around to do it yet
anyone having problems when using german mac keyboards?
@nVVEBd yes, see atom/autocomplete-plus#76
anybody know if there’s a package for atom that show the value of a variable?
