@kuujo i found the issue with the client packaging error.. i had AtomixClient client = AtomixClient.builder but should have been Atomix client = AtomixClient.builder
Found it in the testing abstraction classes
so i think documentation is wrong :-(

Within a few minutes the raft cluster was already at Term 9. and the client had all 3 nodes as a master and then crapped out

Hmm, was just thinking. Since all events go through raft anyway and stored in there when its in the queue i can use that as persistence right? dont'need an other persistence queue.
the only thing i might need is a very small queue for when its pulled of the raft queue and enters the processing pipeline
if it breaks then i might lose the event
because i don't think i can use the raft queue in such a way that it keeps a lock on that event and allows me to process it, and when i unlock it, it gets removed
when im sure its processed
