Hey @electrical I started using ES a lot at work. The documentation is crazy only because there's so many concepts to go through. But I started using the Sense plugin and that actually helped me a lot since I can see all the options of different types of requests. Do you have any other suggestions that might help me?

i would use marvel as well. gives a lot of insight in the cluster its free to use. you can request a free license via the website.

@kuujo with regards to the metrics issue #100 i would assume something like that would run on its own thread so it doesn't impact other stuff?

Yeah I haven't really thought about what to do with that yet. Would be nice, but there are still stability and performance issues on my mind

i mean mainly in the context of atomix. where to put it. most likely have a separate module to start with.
