This is a pretty underwhelming slide deck I threw together today, but it touches on the rationale and major points of emphasis in refactoring Copycat in Atomix 2.0. I'll also be posting a much more detailed update to the Raft Google Group for feedback some time this week and will link to that here and other places.

That talk ^^ is really just an update to our ONOS TST, so some of it may be specific to how we use Atomix.

I wrote a benchmark application for ONOS that spreads clients across the cluster and just benchmarks a simple partitioned distributed map. A single blocking client did about 2500 writes/sec on a 3-node cluster. 64 blocking clients did 35k writes/sec. and 128 blocking clients did about 45k/sec. It wasn't in a good testing environment though. I'll run it on different hardware and with different cluster/partition sizes some time soon.
