Is there a way to run atomix in single host mode? For desktop development for example?
nm, answered my own question, looks like I can just run with 1 node without issue

what's the difference between a PERSISTENT and EPHEMERAL node? I now what that means but what impact does it have on the cluster?

No because that's a new concept in 2.1
They are explained briefly here http://atomix.io/docs/latest/getting-started/

Hi. Most of the pages in the User Manual display empty content (e.g. http://atomix.io/docs/latest/user-manual/primitives/LeaderElection/) . It's just a temporary issue with the website or the docs are incomplete?

Incomplete as the library
Has many new concepts from the rewrite
So the docs just aren’t there yet

How do we remove a PERSISTENT node from the cluster?
Say we have 4 PERSISTENT nodes... then realize we are over scaled and want to instead just have 3. How do we tell the cluster that 1 of the hosts should be removed?

@rroller just stop a node. However, if using Raft partitions, the Raft partitions don’t currently support resizing. Well, the Raft implementation itself does, but the RaftPartitionGroup doesn’t. There are some complicated reasons for doing this relating to network partitions when bootstrapping the cluster.
