Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
people should be compensated for their work
everybody
José A. Sachs
@jhewt
The first project using Aurelia was a roadtrip, hacking my way through the framework
Thanksfully there's no "Aurelia" way of doing things, not like Angular at least :D
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
Aurelia was my first SPA
Dwayne Charrington
@Vheissu
@RichardDeckard I don't write the book to make money from it to be honest. When people email me asking for it cheaper or sometimes for free, I just give it away, haha. I would rather the Aurelia community grow and people stick around more than money.
Angular was mine.
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
@Vheissu all cool, brother, but you put time into spreading your knowledge..i bought your book, and i think others should too
José A. Sachs
@jhewt
Mine too, sadly.
Jason Sobell
@jsobell

@Vheissu It turns out it's this:

    public validate(value, isRequired: boolean = true): Promise<boolean>

Having the = true creates that error

Dwayne Charrington
@Vheissu
Oh wow, I wonder why?
Jason Sobell
@jsobell
Typescript in npm is 1.8.10
José A. Sachs
@jhewt
oh, no defaults
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
i'm not sure how we consume typescrpt 2.0 not in typings folder
because i get duplicate identifiers
stupid tsconfig.json
we don't have glob
Jason Sobell
@jsobell
@RichardDeckard Each modules package.config should have a 'typings' entry, and it finds the path to the .d.ts file from there
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
@RichardDeckard did i miss TS2 coming out?
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
i'm still screwed on random typings
Jason Sobell
@jsobell
@RichardDeckard Make sure it's not also in the typings folder
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
tryijng to figure out migration
i migratied to typings
fine
and new typings
sometimes i wonder how much energy am i spending on typings
José A. Sachs
@jhewt
Someone tried aurelia-cli? I can't require css files in a view
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
do I goto es6
es7
no, gotta stick with Typescript...i'm a typed guy:)
kevmeister68
@kevmeister68
@MaximBalaganskiy TS2?
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
@kevmeister68
kevmeister68
@kevmeister68
Thanks
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
when does ts2 go RTM?
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
i checked yesterday the green bar on TS2 milestone is almost complete
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
hehe
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
waiting for generators support in es5
Jason Sobell
@jsobell
Yeah, it's just a few issues like this: Object destructuring broken: variables are bound to the wrong object
Nothing serious... :)
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
stupid safari does not support them
Richard Deckard
@RichardDeckard
jason: typescript or babel doesn't do that yet?
Cory Deppen
@corydeppen
@jhewt I'm able to require css files that are within src without a problem in a CLI project. I've been trying to determine if it should be possible to require css files from outside src for things like Bootstrap and Font Awesome.
José A. Sachs
@jhewt
@corydeppen Exactly, that was the problem I was facing. In my case trying to load a Material Design Lite CSS file from "mtl/dist/material.min.css"
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
@jhewt in JSPM's case the css is loaded by the JS script itself
ups... sorry, didn't see "lite" word, i'm using materializecss
José A. Sachs
@jhewt
hehe, I've been using materializecss
I wasn't quite happy with it
Max
@MaximBalaganskiy
any particular things?
is there a bridge for aurelia?
