Hi, I am trying out Aurelia 2 and am having some issues with styles. I started using bulma sass but found I couldn't access things globally so as a quick fix added the bulma.css link to index.ejs. This kinda worked but now certain classes get renamed and my selectors often fail to work. What is my best option here? Should I remove the sass and stick to the css file in index.ejs? Or is there some documentation somewhere that describes how to use bulma sass in AU2. Thanks.
norgie
@norgie
@bigopon I chose to implement toJSON() for said dtos. A bit extra work, but it worked like a charm.
@bigopon Do you happen to know if @JeroenVinke has left Gitter?
bigopon
@bigopon
@dackjaniels2001 in v2, by default shadowDom is used so global styles wont have an effect on inner template of a custom element
You can disable shadow fom or use shared style features(shadow CSS) to have easier time witg styling
Please join our discord for, we are migrating our community there
@norgie i think hes still around, just less acrive on gitter. Maybe try discord?

When will be support of Webpack 5?
Rickard
@gimerstedt
@mydim not sure webpack 5 support is planned for au1 but it should already work in au2 (at least without conventions).

hi! I have an if-binding for "n" tags in the view, and the condition values are kept in a map (computedFrom). I'm having some issues accessing the items in the map inside the view, which I thought would be straightforward, like this if.bind="isThisItemVisible.get(itemId)". Nothing is returned. I know it's passed to the view, because I can get the size to display, just not the content. Is this as expected?

@bigopon Hi, I saw your comment on aurelia/binding#409, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting $view = [some HTMLTemplateElement object] to work
it works if you use $view = <template>foo</template>
but not with function createTemplate() { const template = document.createElement("template"); template.innerText = "foo"; return template; }
and $view = createTemplate()

Found out that map.has() works in the if-bind. The problem was that the data was never updated, due to the how a collection is not observed. I seem to have resolved it using the BindingSignaler

Is there a built in way in aurelia to give special behavior to the text between custom defined characters? For example, !!!Text!!!, where this will initialize some custom component. Basically a short hand for a component html syntax. Reason: Desire to give admin user of site ability to type in textarea and give text special behavior (without knowing anything about html).

Hello. I am adding animation to my page using aurelia-animator-css.
My desired effect is for the animations to not run on page load, and only run on later viewmodel changes.
How can I disable animation for first load?
Thanks in advance :)

for anyone having this issue I posted above, I resolved it by wrapping the response from the api in a JSON.PARSE
so my componet looks like this `
@inject(ApplicantService)
export class Applicants{
friends: any[];
message: string;
allApplicants: IApplicant[] = [];

constructor(private applicantService: ApplicantService) {
this.message = "all applicants.";

applicantService.getData()
  .then(data => {
    this.allApplicants = JSON.parse(data.response);
  console.log(this.allApplicants)
});

}

}`

I have an Aurelia Application build with NPM\Gulp that has been working perfectly. I recently did an NPM update which upgraded all the components including DropZone. Dropzone apparently changed it's build to use WebPack and now Aurelia sees DropZone's New() Constructor as a Module instead of a function? See https://github.com/dropzone/dropzone/issues/1903#issuecomment-779936105 Any Sugestions?

Hello everyone!

Could you help me on how can I generate new components using AU2 cli?

Because I am having this error:
https://privatebin.net/?141c4fccddbb2a19#BYNqy37wFL2CBuo8ftaQMPdXdbftYfEWQoWSGqpJ73Yz

bigopon
@bigopon
@dcharbonnier in v2, @computedFrom is not needed
dependencies are automatically observed

Hello, Aurelia is trying to module-load any image that it finds in a template like <img src=xxx> I'm using an image that will only be available in the web server
it blows with "Module not found: Error: Can't resolve './img/loaders/rotating-circle-large.svg'"
is there any way I can prevent Aurelia from autoloading imgs ?

Hi, I've recently updated to the latest Aurelia 2/vnext DEV version 2.1.0-dev.202103310619 and have converted my route hook to a Shared Lifecycle Hook. The canLoad of my AuthHandler runs and all seems well with the auth part of it. However, ever since updating, I don't seem to receive my query parameters in the load(params) of my pages that implement IRouteViewModel; the params object stays empty. Any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong in this regard?
