@ShantanuNair what were you trying to do that triggered that error? Gitter is fine for discussion and "quick" help, you can also post in teh github issue tracker

can I force QLDB to return IonText instead of IonBinary?

can anyone tell me why my expiration is not taking effect when attempt to get a presigned url?
 url = s3.getSignedUrl('getObject', {
   Bucket: Meteor.settings.AWSBucket,
   Key: key,
   Expires: 5,
 });
is there a minimum time that I am not meeting?
Miguel Espinoza
@purefan
@bmartin1134 what behavior are you getting? not generating a url? url valid after it should have expired? url never valid?
Aleš Ferlan
@Alko89
Can anyone tell me if ion-js driver is capable properly parsing IonBinary struct? I'm really having issues with it for weeks now
have no issues with IonText
bmartin1134
@bmartin1134
@purefan The URL is generated, is valid and works but does not expire within the 5 seconds I am trying to set. They do eventually expire but many minutes later. I am thinking it may be due to a server to server time difference. It would be nice if the aws api accepted a duration as an other option than just the time value.

Hello I am trying to create a Saas Application however, I am unclear on how to set up the AWS Cognito aspect to isolate tenant logins so that they can query my api Gateway. I read this book https://aws-quickstart.s3.amazonaws.com/saas-identity-cognito/doc/saas-identity-and-isolation-with-cognito-on-the-aws-cloud.pdf but it's unclear to me. Does anyone have any other resources that showcase how to make this possible? I have my own microservice that I want to deploy but I am really lost on how to set up the cognito login to accomodate a Saas Applicaiton.

Hello! Have so many problems setting up aws-sdk, aws-kcl and localstack.
Every time I try to run aws-kcl with localstack I`m getting this error
Caused by: io.netty.handler.codec.http2.Http2Exception: First received frame was not SETTINGS. Hex dump for first 5 bytes: 3c21444f43
Does anybody know what it can be?
Thanks in advance

@Alko89
hi, I have seen that the QLDB driver for node has been released!
I just have a question, about qldbsession, should I create a session for the scope of the app or should I make a new session before each transaction?
khitsik
@khitsik
Hi again! As for my question
I resolved it by git checking out to the earlier release version of AWS KCL for node js
Their last release contains update to http2 that is not compatible with localstack
as I understand

Hi everyone, this is Trivikram - maintainer of AWS JavaScript SDK
We're looking forward to hear from you about v2-style (idiomatic) vs command style (modular) in aws/aws-sdk-js#2969
Please provide your valuable feedback, if you have a specific preference over one or the other
Aleš Ferlan
@Alko89
@trivikr I have just started learning all these AWS SDK and Ion so I don't know much about it. But I would like for the SDK to be more modular (feels like everything is just crammed into one giant lib)
khitsik
@khitsik
@trivikr as for me, I think everything is ok

Thank you @Alko89 and @khitsik for your responses.

Hi Guys, I have a question how can I use the same user from a master account to upload files to different buckets in a different AWS account, I already added a role on these accounts to allow this master user push files to his buckets.
for example
const s3 = new AWS.S3({ accessKeyId: 'xxxx', secretAccessKey: 'xxxxxx', });
this point to my master account but I need to go to the bucket name of another account with this user that has access by role
Aleš Ferlan
@Alko89
@jcamposv can't you create a new instance with different keys?
const secondS3 = new AWS.S3({ accessKeyId: 'otherkey', secretAccessKey: 'othersecret', });

I'm trying to develop a Lambda that invokes a second Lambda function in itself. How can I test both lambdas locally using AWS SAM CLI?
I'm defining the lambda like this: const lambda = new Lambda({ region: env.awsRegion, maxRetries: 0 });
obviously this expects the second Lambda to already be deployed on AWS
is there a way to configure it to also run in the Docker container?

greetings.

I was using s3 to store images from my website with ssl certificate enabled. my certificate expired today and now when I post data to s3, the network calls times out. Is this because of the ssl certificate expiration? does s3 allow access to secure server from an insecure server?

hi all, I have a test written in webdriverio and wanted to integrate with a CI/CD platform. I originally tried it on CircleCI, but ran into an issue with circle not being able to access private network. I was told that aws codebuild will be able to run my test and able to access private network. Are there any other suggestions, and how hard is it to get it setup and running? All I want to do is to be able to get my test run thru a CI/CD pipeline. Thanks!

Hi there. Does anyone did "Building an Amazon CloudWatch Dashboard Outside of the AWS"? I want to build dynamic metrics from AWS on my app with ability to Edit and Create new.
So, I need to use structure like in aws.getCloudWatch().getMetricWidgetImage(widgetDefinition)

widgetDefinition: {
                    "width": 500,
                    "height": 400,
                    "view": "timeSeries",
                    "stacked": false,
                    "metrics": [
                        [ "AWS/EC2", "CPUUtilization", "AutoScalingGroupName", "BP-xxxx-ServerAutoScalingGroup-xxxxx", { "period": 900, "visible": false } ],
                        [ "...", "BP-xxx-ServerAutoScalingGroup-xxxxx", { "period": 900, "label": "CPUUtilization" } ],
                        [ "...", "BP-x-ServerAutoScalingGroup-xxxxx", { "period": 900 } ]
                    ],
                    "region": "us-west-2",
                    "yAxis": {
                        "left": {
                            "min": 0
                        }
                    },
                    "title": "AutoScaling Group - CPUUtilization",
                    "period": 300,
                    "start": this.graphstartTime,
                    "end": this.graphendTime

                }
            }
