Hey Jeremy, you may want to move the config publish part of the instructions below the provider/alias piece. Moving it underneath gives the individual a more linear path, as, at least for me, i had to add the alias/provider before I could successfully run the config publish artisan command. just a thought. Thanks for the quick turn around of Lavavel 5 version.

so I've seen multiple updates to the aws-sdk-php, but the last update to aws-sdk-php-zf2 was almost a year ago. Should I switch to the straight aws-sdk-php package?

There has been no need to update aws-sdk-php-zf2, all it does is load aws-sdk-php into the the Service Locator.
Just a simple bridge.
@Zxurian was there something in particular that you think needs to be udpated?

I have a zf2 project, and using composer, I have aws/aws-sdk-php-zf2 added, just making sure I didn't need to separately add aws-sdk-php to it, although I see now that the composer entry does load it as part of a dependency

You would only need to add it if you wanted a specific version of the SDK. Otherwise, it should install it automatically as part of the ZF2 module to the latest version that is compatible with your other dependencies.
