@BardiaAfshin
google big query is the opposite
it’s a couple of clicks, and everything is done for you. No data distribution pattern needs to be done, no compression type, none of that.
SO, does aws-sdk-php have anything like that built in? Helper classes to basically do the tedious fine tuning a lesser of a work? More automated?
That would be helpful.

Hey guys, does anybody know if it's possible to interface with the new Device Farm API using the PHP SDK?
The API docs seem to be missing a lot of vital information, like the HTTP methods required for each action: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/devicefarm/latest/APIReference/API_Operations.html
Jonathan Eskew
@jeskew
The SDK versions released yesterday (2.8.14 and 3.2.0) include support for device farm

Looking for assistance with "List-Unsubscribe" via the SendMail() API. Found this reference, but no response from the aww-sdk-php team: https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?messageID=347327

@jeskew
@johnabela You will need to use the sendRawEmail command with a raw email message (http://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/send-email-raw.html). The sendEmail method does not support custom headers.

I found a bug in laravel sdk ~2.0, then I noted 3.0 is out. Should I migrate?

Bardia Afshin
@BardiaAfshin
general cloudformation question
can you add “sources” to a instance via launch configuraiton?
Zxurian
@Zxurian
I may be used to using v2, but in v3, is there no associated method for setCredentials() or do I have to create a new instance of an object everytime I want to change the credentials?
Jonathan Eskew
@jeskew
@Zxurian You would need to create a new instance if you want to change the credentials
Alternatively, if you need to switch out credentials in a predictable way, you can provide a callable instead of an array as the credentials option when creating a client

looks like $exception->getMessage() contains the error?
but its a combination of text and XML
Jonathan Eskew
@jeskew
Yes

string(651) "Error executing "Subscribe" on "https://sns.us-east-1.amazonaws.com"; AWS HTTP error: Client error: 403 AuthorizationError (client): User: arn:aws:iam::782785023246:root is not authorized to perform: SNS:Subscribe on resource: arn:aws:sns:us-east-1:932574457866:SMOA - <ErrorResponse xmlns="http://sns.amazonaws.com/doc/2010-03-31/">
  <Error>
    <Type>Sender</Type>
    <Code>AuthorizationError</Code>
    <Message>User: arn:aws:iam::782785023246:root is not authorized to perform: SNS:Subscribe on resource: arn:aws:sns:us-east-1:932574457866:SMOA</Message>
  </Error>
  <RequestId>12341fc4-61ca-564e-93f5-5143fbe61443</RequestId>
</ErrorResponse>
I'd like to pass through the error, preferably just the string
Is this coming from Guzzle or the SDK?
Jonathan Eskew
@jeskew
the SDK
all SDK exceptions extend from Aws\AwsException
and have a method called getAwsErrorCode that returns the error string generated by the service
so in the example you provided getAwsErrorCode would return “AuthorizationError"
kevin olson
@acidjazz
OK perfect
tahts plenty
