    I have an demo of server sails api and frontend by react.
    Server:
    • enabled cors
    • enabled csrf
      React:
    • use fetch api for login, before call fetch api, i got csrf token then pass params as sails docs, and received result as photo
    I spent over one day for checking this problem, and got zero percent of fixing :(

    Hey guys, sorry if this is irrelevant here, but I was just wondering if there are any plans on adding sails js to gsoc next year?
    @dlamass_anle_twitter you need to disable cors to make ajax requests from other domain.
    You can try making allRoutes in security.js as true for testing purposes
    An Le Truong
    @dlamass_anle_twitter
    You mean: I have to config in security.js like this:
    cors: {
    allRoutes: true,
    allowOrigins: '*',
    allowCredentials: false,
    },

    I think this documentation on using TypeScript is very helpful, but I was curious about the attribution. It seems like added noise to the reader and may not scale well with more contributors. Perhaps if it is desired to include it, it might serve better to attribute as a footnote?

    @mikermcneil @raqem Is the Platzi wireframes PDF still available? I can’t seem to find it anywhere and didn’t realize I wasn’t the only one looking. I am not sure they’re necessary, but I am interested to see them if they are

    Apologies for direct mention, not sure whom else would have access to that resource that would be qualified to mention? @rachaelshaw? Going by commits to the repo and responses to Platzi comments

    Is it better to fix the docs + sails help output, or fix sails? For instance sails version no longer displays info (as described by docs and help). However sails --version still works (described in help).

    Seems like we can make the standalone version work, or just use sails --version everywhere and update the help/docs.

    Hi. I'm only into sails for about 30 minutes. I've spent this 30mins reading the docs but I really couldn't figure out how to create my local database like my colleague told me to. Can someone give me a brief step-by-step tutorial? I'm reading the docs now but couldn't really understand how to do it. Thanks.

    Hi @Kontributer I do have a copy of the wireframes somewhere.
    Are the wireframes not attached to the Platzi course as part of the materials?
    Kontributer
    @Kontributer
    I didn’t see it, I went back through all the “files” links on each session and didn’t see them. Is there another place that materials might be located? @raqem

    @mikermcneil It would be nice if choosing a version on the https://sailsjs.com/documentation site was persistent through a browser cookie, instead of just linking to the documentation root for that version. So, for example, a user who has chosen 0.12 in the past, when loading e.g. sailsjs.com/documentation/reference/response-res/res-view would instead be redirected to 0.12.sailsjs.com/documentation/reference/response-res/res-view if that equivalent page exists.

    I looked at the documentation repository and, as it is but a markdown mirror, it would not be possible for one to contribute this feature through a pull request. So I am left to merely propose it as an idea instead.

    anecdote: @luislobo and I only use Sails 0.12 for our project. One day we will upgrade… but until then we have to be careful and remind our teammates that the documentation they find in Google may not apply to the build we use. I realize this is not a unique situation but it does have a fairly simple… bandaid that can be applieed.

    @teddy-error your case makes sense and also demonstrates the difficulty in developing multiple versions of software, since documentation is typically an afterthought in other systems and always hard to maintain over time.

    I know you are using an old version of Sails and if that’s stable, maybe there isn’t a reason to change; however, if you have the means I’d encourage you to update. Not because the newer features are any better or more secure (though they are), but simply because it’s easier to perform micro upgrades than macro upgrades. As support for later versions start to dwindle, or security vulnerabilities are discovered, you’ll be forced to upgrade or risk those threats. That big upgrade from 0.12 to 2.X might be very time consuming compared to 0.12 to 1.2 (to future 2.X).

    Hello guys !!!
    can anyone suggest me one free IDE for working with sails, with great support, intellisense, code completion, etc?

    Hey guys, Could someone educate me as to why this is in the docs and is there any particular reason why?

    Please note that your Amazon S3 bucket must be created in the 'US East (N. Virginia)' region. If you fail to do so, the uploads will not work and you'll see an 'InvalidRequest' error from AWS.

    Please find this at https://sailsjs.com/documentation/concepts/file-uploads/uploading-to-s-3

    Also, does the second sentence of the quote not describe the why?
    Kiran Mathew Mohan
    @privateOmega
    @Kontributer Thanks. I went through the SO, but doesn't it ask where the bucket should be created? Well my question is why it has to be created in that specific region?
    For example, why it shows an error if I create a bucket in some random region like Singapore or something?
    The second sentence just describes an error will be thrown.
    @mikermcneil I would really appreciate it if you could shed some light on this.

    @Kontributer
    @privateOmega did you follow the link and read the Amazon FAQs?
    Kiran Mathew Mohan
    @privateOmega
    @Kontributer Could you please point to what specific thing you are telling about? I have went through the Amazon FAQs earlier and if you are talking about S3 is globally available even though it is created in a specific region and all, those things I am aware of.
    Kontributer
    @Kontributer
    @privateOmega I may have misread. The question I’m guessing is if (and why) the S3 adapter is locked to US East bucket?

    Hi everyone, does anyone know how to add vuetify to sails project?
    alexcagliari

    Hi guys, I have a question, I hope there is someone among you who can help me.
    Inside my Bootstrap.js I have entered my worker that processes the redis queues (Bull).
    For ex:

    module.exports.bootstrap = async function(cb) {

      let Bull = require('bull');

      let queue = new Bull('Service',sails.config.redisConfig);
      let crontabQueue = new Bull('Cron',sails.config.redisConfig);

      queue.process('Service',8, async function (job, done) {

    Everything works well when i use one instance (sails lift), but today I decided to cluster the app. For this reason, inside the app.js, I inserted the instructions to fork and create the various child.
    For ex:

    var cluster = require('cluster');

    if(cluster.isMaster) {

      for(var i = 0; i < numWorkers; i++) {

          worker = cluster.fork();
          worker.on('message', function() {
            console.log('arguments', arguments);
          });

      }

    Is there any way to start a single worker in bootstrap.js? I want that ONLY the Master cluster do what I put in bootstrap.js.
    I need this because otherwise, as is happening to me, N workers of the Bootstrap are started and the jobs overlap.
    Thank you

    I think the Sails docs is due for some redesigning. For one it's not responsive and I believe more details and care could be added to make it better. I am volunteering to take this on. Who wants to join me on this?
