CloudCV guys! CloudCV! :-)
not OpenCV, CloudCV!
anyway there are plenty of issues on Origami and Fabrik to work on!
I highly recommend people to work on those issues. EvalAI has seen a lot of interest with some "long-time contributors" already! So submitting a proposal to EvalAI will make things exponentially difficult for you! Just saying!

Hey folks
So I'm interested in CloudCV for GSoC and I wanted to get a better understanding of CloudCV projects which would need work as a part of GSoC
I see EvalAI has a bunch of issues with the gsoc tag so I assume those are tasks to get started with for gsoc?
I'm interested in Cvfy and EvalAI though I can contribute to other projects as well.
Do you folks

[DOUBT] So, I’ve cloned and built the CloudCV-Website and it is basically a Django server and a Node Server. Anyone know whether this will work if I just try to deploy the django project to heroku?

@gurraunaqsingh this is the old gitter channel. We have shifted to https://gitter.im/Cloud-CV/

@/all

We have an announcement to make. We are excited to be a mentoring organization for Google Code-in 2017 (GCI) for the first time! We’re looking forward to collaborating with pre-university students on some exciting projects, and, for some of you, providing a (gentle) introduction to the wonderful world of open source development. You can find a detailed description of our projects at http://gci.cloudcv.org/, and an overview of the program (including how to register) at https://developers.google.com/open-source/gci/resources/getting-started.

The program starts on 28th November 2017. If you know someone who is a pre-university student, then please encourage them to participate in GCI. It’s going to be a great learning curve for them. :)

If you have questions / would like to know more, don’t hesitate to ping us using following links:

Hi @837683ayushi, sorry I missed your message. Thanks for your interest in mentoring for GCI. Can you please draft an email to team@cloudcv.org stating what kind of tasks you have in mind for GCI this year with a brief description of your past/current projects?

Hello guys, I am a student from Singapore and would like to contribute to this project. I have some experience with basic Python(Django) and Machine Learning basics, I want to ask what should I do to get started? I see the project is listed on GSoC, I want to what kind of purposal requirement that I need to meet to apply for this project?
Thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to answer my questions.

Hi, I am extremely interested in contributing to the CloudCV project which has been listed as an organization in GSoc'18. I have prior experience in working with python and machine learning libraries (TFlow, Keras), more specifically computer vision and have also worked with the REST API. But unfortunately I do not have much experience in Django and JS related libraries. Do you guys have any ongoing projects which deal with mostly computer vision / machine learning, to which I can contribute ? I ask this as the ideas listed on the GSoc page need knowledge of Django/ JS . Thanks a lot !!!
