thanks :) it's been fixed, but when I try to tell you GitHub was down apparently. Maybe we should support deflate btw.

deflate is supposed to be mandatory, but really, if you have gzip, you're golden. All user agents must support Content-Encoding: gzip, so even if they request deflate, it's legal to respond with gzip
that being said, it's a trivial implementation in the PLs I usually work with. No clue how hard it is in C++ though

I personally think that gzip is plenty enough, especially for something that'll mainly be server-to-server, but that's like, my opinion, man.
