I'd always wondered when github would do this themselves

Hey @mcollina :D

@Textures
Mark, looking for a js slide tool - is this the tool that allows other users to view on different browsers, but have 1 person control the presentation as those other users view it?
@markdalgleish ^^^
Mark Dalgleish
@markdalgleish
@Textures not specifically
it's designed to be pluggable, so that sort of thing is possible, but I don't work on that functionality

@rahmanusta
Hello
I want to programatically change slide page with bespoke.js
But I'm not able to access deck or bespoke objects in browser
What is the best practice ?
Mark Dalgleish
@markdalgleish
@rahmanusta you don't have access to the deck unless you created it, or you're inside a plugin
This is by design

Hey everyone! I'm just stopping by to register and say hi, but I'm on the clock at the moment. I'll chime back in when I'm done.

Welcome :)

I'm definitely excited about helping to grow the Bespoke.js community!
Dan Allen
@mojavelinux
@rahmanusta @markdalgleish What I'm planning to do for this use case is to implement an "export" plugin that exposes the deck as a public API. This is needed, for instance, to export the deck using deck2pdf in a portable way.
This plugin may register the deck on a collection attached to the bespoke object. Something like "bespoke.decks".
Btw, I made an adapter so that you can use the onstage plugin from dzslides to power a bespoke.js presentation. I still plan to make an official (or more official) presenter view, but for now this fills a void.
I haven't published it yet, so you have to use it from source.
Rahman Usta
@rahmanusta
Hello @mojavelinux , I tried current code base, but in demo it gives me "Uncaught TypeError: bespoke.plugins.classes is not a function" , what path should I follow?
Dan Allen
@mojavelinux
Did you run npm install?
@markdalgleish Let me know when you're ready to get the bespoke organization setup. I have availability this weekend and after Monday.
It appears that bespoke is taken, but bespokejs is available (I'm not sure if an organization name can have a "." character)
Rahman Usta
@rahmanusta
@mojavelinux npm says "npm WARN install Refusing to install bespoke-onstage as a dependency of itself" then bower says "ENOTFOUND Package bespoke-onstage not found"
Rahman Usta
@rahmanusta
npmjs.com says "Sorry, no results for ‘bespoke-onstage’"
Dan Allen
@mojavelinux
You are typing "npm install" instead the cloned repository folder? It shouldn't try to install itself.
I'm testing...
As a side note, the reason I haven't released it yet is because I need to figure out how to make the onstage.html file available...perhaps using a keybinding, popup up a window and write the contents of the file into that window.
Rahman Usta
@rahmanusta
Ah okey, sorry
Dan Allen
@mojavelinux
I updated the README to explain how to get it setup

@mojavelinux
bespoke-blackout is now available: https://www.npmjs.com/package/bespoke-blackout
What do you think about the proposal for help text infrastructure? markdalgleish/bespoke.js#64
I think it would be really nice to have a help overlay in bespoke.js, but we need the plugins to coordinate in order to achieve it (without hardcoding all the bindings into a single plugin)
Rahman Usta
@rahmanusta
@mojavelinux I tried it, it is very nice. I think, publication of deck API is important for us.
Dan Allen
@mojavelinux
Indeed. I'm going to get started on that this week because we also need it for deck2pdf export. Should be a fairly simple plugin to write.

I'll be sure to discuss it here once I dive into the design and implementation
