@DerekG007 sounds like you are volunteering?

One can reconstruct the LiveCharts DLL and LiveCharts.WPF DLL. The Geared module has been obfuscated in some parts. The functions have been renamed to the letters of the alphabet. Since I classify myself as a novice, It would take me months to try and reconstruct and figure out the framework. Not impossible, but is it really worth the effort? I sometimes wonder if the original developer is still alive ?

Hi all,
I need to set up a static series of 14 line annotations in my CartesianChart but I'm facing a bit of a problem regarding theming.
If I bind my Chart to a SeriesCollection in the ViewModel I can set up all my lines programmatically in a single go, but then I'm blocked from accessing any theming resources (afaik)
If I set up all the lines in the XAML I have full control over their graphical properties, but then I need to have a separate IChartValues in my ViewModel for each different <LineSeries> in my View:

            <lc:CartesianChart.Series>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="10%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC10}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="12%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC12}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="14%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC14}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="16%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC16}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="18%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC18}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="20%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC20}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="22%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC22}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="24%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC24}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="26%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC26}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="28%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC28}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="30%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC30}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="32%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC32}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
                <lc:LineSeries Title="34%" Values="{Binding Path=MAC34}" Style="{StaticResource MACAnnotation}"/>
            </lc:CartesianChart.Series>

Any elegant solution for that?

Hi,
i have got a sort of a meta-question .... last week i bought the wpf-geared-package (which stated to have private mail support) and sent a mail to support@lvchats.net and hoped to get a quick response.
but no reponse in nearly a week now.
do any of you know if the mail-support is still "active"?

@x3lor
Just read over the last view posts.... more people seems to have this problem .. damn ...
Daniel Mittelstadt
@DMtsdt

I ended up making a new class for the annotations inheriting from LineSeries

    public class Annotation : LineSeries { }

Then just styled them it in XAML

<lc:CartesianChart.Resources>
    <Style TargetType="local:Annotation ">
        <Setter ... />
    </Style>
</lc:CartesianChart.Resources>

Hi,
I'm working on an application using LiveCharts and am trying to determine an ideal number of separator steps based on the Axis size, in pixels. So far, I can't seem to be able to determine what the size of the Axis object is, on inspection at runtime the Height and Width properties are always NaN. Any thoughts?

@Hans80
Hi all, for Ohcl Chart, is it possible to plot filled solid bar charts rather than lines?
T8Bacon3, I think there is example on stackoverflow by Rodriguez. It explains how the separators work.

Hi. I'm looking for chart to use in my WPF application. According to description LiveCharts covers almost all my needs, but there is one which I didn't find in tutorials. I have basic line chart with several series on it. I need to place one or more vertical cursors. This cursor should show Y axis value in place of crossing each series. Cursor also could be dragged left and right. Can I do it with LiveCharts? This is how it looks like in Steema TeeChart

@11v1 https://github.com/Live-Charts/Live-Charts/tree/master/Examples/Wpf/CartesianChart/SectionsMouseMove
I didn't get to work with those dragable sections but I believe you can hook into their values in the VM and draw points accordingly
I use a similar function in my VM to intercept some of my series at a certain X/Y percentage of their total DeltaX/DeltaY and place a VisualElement there

The data points are not in their lines
Does anyone know why?
Hans80
@Hans80
check your point color, if it's not set to transparent in the series. PointForeground = Brushes.Black
Foreground = Brushes.Black. Sample code from LiveCharts plots the Labels correctly.

@DMtsdt
Is there any proper way to bind series visuals to model state?
Similar to PointState (https://github.com/Live-Charts/Live-Charts/tree/master/Examples/Wpf/CartesianChart/PointState) but for an entire series?
To clarify - I have some series that can be either active or inactive, the inactive series still need be presented but in a dotted line
Their activity state changes in real time according to a Model bool property
Daniel Mittelstadt
@DMtsdt
Managed to solve by inheriting from inheriting from LineSeries and applying INotifyPropertyChanged as well
Matthias Zandanel
@matthias.zandanel_gitlab
What is the limit of the free version?
How many total datapoints?
Mattew
@matsydoodles_gitlab
The biggest limit is the fact it isn't actively supported in a single direction.
Steven Swab
@rolan18
Honestly, someone should just fork this thing and we can start improving the new fork.
Mattew
@matsydoodles_gitlab
Not to mention it would be a mammoth task. He was part way through a major refactor when he went awol and then there is sorting out the backlog. But I think the key component is lack of source code for the Geared part.

I have a graphRowSeries
if (GiroSelect != null)
            {
                var converter = new System.Windows.Media.BrushConverter();
                var seleccionado = (Brush)converter.ConvertFromString("#00FF00");

                SeriesCollection1 = new SeriesCollection
                {
                    new RowSeries
                    {
                        Title = "Giro",
                        Values = cantgiros,
                        Fill = seleccionado,
                    },
                };
            }
            else
            {
                var converter = new System.Windows.Media.BrushConverter();
                var seleccionado = (Brush)converter.ConvertFromString("#00FF00");
                var opaco = (Brush)converter.ConvertFromString("#1B681B");

                var Mapper1 = new CartesianMapper<double>()
                .X((value, index) => value) //use the value as X
                .Y((value, index) => index) //use the index as Y
                .Fill((value, index) => index == 3 ? seleccionado : opaco);

                SeriesCollection1 = new SeriesCollection
                {
                    new RowSeries
                    {
                        Title = "Giro",
                        Values = cantgiros,
                        Configuration = Mapper1,

                    },
                };

            }
what I try is to change the color of the bars, it makes the change, but it does not update it in real time

can I simple reorder my column seriescollection ascending or descending
?
Steven Swab
@rolan18
@matsydoodles_gitlab Fair enough. I've never used geared, I assume you could decompile the source code and see if you can maintain the interfaces/contracts it uses. Even if that's not possible, geared becomes useless over time because no one supports it (particularly as there are significant .net version updates).
Daniel Mittelstadt
@DMtsdt
@tatianagasser You can setChartValues<ObservablePoint> as a series' values collection for unindexed values
Daniel Mittelstadt
@DMtsdt
@Pilger83 There might be a more elegant way but I think you need to clear each ColumnSeries values then re-add them already sorted

Hi All, please help with the following: I successfully created a "Constant Changes" chart using WinForms per the given sample. I would now like to add a second series to plot a second line that will have different Y values but the same X values as the first series. I've been trying to figure this out all morning, but running out of patience.
I'm using the MeasureModel as suggested in the sample
