Hi there,

Hope everyone's doing well.

@binduwavell I'll unpublish soon my current generator on npm and try to integrate the share widget subgenerator from mine to yours.

@binduwavell
Wow @damienbenon, thank you very much!

@damienbenon I wonder if you are interested in reviewing PR #26 on our side. I learned some cool tricks from your work.
This PR includes a pretty comprehensive webscript sub-generator.
Also, I was wondering if you had made any progress on the share widget subgenerator?
@vprince1 is working on a content model subgenerator and will be updating the base class with source module selection to allow only repo or only share source module selection from a subgenerator, so you might want to keep an eye on that.
Bindu Wavell
@binduwavell
@damienbenon committed the base class with source module selection and the ability to just target repo or in your case share source amps.

@binduwavell
@damienbenon any update from you?

@binduwavell I just reported an issue I encountered while using the generator under windows: #122

@binduwavell
Thanks @yregaieg, will check it out.

@yregaieg I imagine you are very buys with the new baby and all. If you end up having a little time, I wonder if you could test the PR I just submitted on your windows setup. Here is the link: binduwavell/generator-alfresco#124 . If you don't have time or inclination, that's perfectly fine, I will get to it, just need to find a good windows machine to test from.
Also, @yregaieg, you may want to delete your fork and re-make it. Then make any edits on a branch other than master. You can add my binduwavell/generator-alfresco repo as another remote (I usually call this kind of remote "upstream".) Then if you git fetch --all you will get stuff from your remote fork and also from my repo. While you are on your master you can git merge upstream/master (after the previously mentioned fetch command.) This will allow your master to track my master. With this approach you should find it pretty easy to have multiple working branches and even update those branches with commits from my repo (by rebasing or your master that has the changes merged into it.)

@yregaieg
@binduwavell Thanks for the tips!
The simplification you suggested works perfectly fine on my local windows 10

@binduwavell
Awesome, thanks for testing, I will merge to master today.

I'm close to merging a relatively big change. The main generator now has the concept of a basic and an advanced mode. The basic mode is close to AIO, the advanced mode adds the customizations folder structure. Basic is the default and advanced is what our project structure looked like previously. Let me know if you have any concerns or if you run into any issues.

I followed link https://community.alfresco.com/docs/DOC-4595-getting-started-with-alfresco-application-development-framework but not able to login. I have installed alfresco-community 5.1

Hi @pg1978 this is a forum for the Alfresco yeoman generator. Confusingly not related to the yeoman generators for the App Developmemt Kit. They do have a gutter channel here: https://gitter.im/Alfresco/alfresco-ng2-components?utm_source=badge&utm_medium=badge&utm_campaign=pr-badge&utm_content=badge

Hi Folks, Yeoman 1.0 came out recently and dropped support for node 0.10. This produces a challenge. Unfortunately Ubuntu 14.04 is one of the supported platforms for Alfresco and it includes node 0.10.25 in the default package registry. Also unfortunately, node 0.10’s LTS status has expired. Some other of our dependencies including shelljs have dropped support for node 0.10 so we have been running older deps where we run into this in order to support node 0.10. I’m proposing we drop support for node 0.10 and while we are at it since none of the supported stacks include 0.12 I propose we drop support for that as well. Info on the version of node included in the default package repos for each of the supported OS’s is provided here: https://github.com/binduwavell/generator-alfresco/wiki/Supported-Platforms-Node-Versions. Any concerns?

Hi @binduwavell !
I just fired a new issue for generator-alfresco, a feature I am going to hack on during next Virtual Global Hackathon, I also registered the project here : https://community.alfresco.com/docs/DOC-7046-projects-and-teams-global-virtual-hack-a-thon-2017#jive_content_id_Add_Dynamicextensions_genorator_to_generatoralfresco

@yregaieg
It would be nice if you could hackathon on finishing up support for SDK 3.0 during the hackathon !
Bindu Wavell
@binduwavell
If I am able to participate, I will work on moving SDK 3 support forward. The date of the hackathon is bad for our family this year on two counts, so it is possible I will not be able to participate.
I love the Idea of adding DE support! Really only one request on my part. Please make sure you have a common prefix for your subgenerators. yo alfresco:de-webscript yo alfresco:de-action etc.
@yregaieg ^^
