Shakeel Shafiq
@thirdknife
Jan 30 2015 20:16
hi @greenify, yes I want to contribute but as BioJS 2 is divided into components so I wonder which one to start
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Jan 30 2015 20:19

Jan 30 2015 20:20
as @daviddao mentioned there is also a lot of maintaince work e.g. for biojs.io (frontend, backend) that one could do.

I am not getting that (1). "src/index.js" refers to what? and (2).what is "require"?
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Jan 30 2015 20:31
require is similar to import in other languages
you can require file in js
(1) to the file src/index.js
Prasun Anand
@prasunanand
Jan 30 2015 20:33
I got that. Its further written Open requirebin.com
Paste the 11 lines
Add (as a new line) on the bottom vis({el: document.body})
Hit Rebuild
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Jan 30 2015 20:34
one sec
var div = document.createElement("div");
document.body.appendChild(div);
vis({el: div});
replace the last line with this
I guess you get an error because module is undefined in RequireBin

@greenify I am facing problems with sniper. I have globally installed sniper. 5) See the first output
snippets/simple_example.js
Do I need to create a directory as sniper and then write a file ''simple_example.js"
in the package directory
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Jan 30 2015 20:52
You need to run slush biojs first, as described in 1)
this will bootstrap a directory that is works well with the registry
Prasun Anand
@prasunanand
Jan 30 2015 20:52
I did slush biojs but didn't get any sniper directory
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Jan 30 2015 20:53
okay what happens when you run npm run sniper
or sniper
(is the same command)
Prasun Anand
@prasunanand
Jan 30 2015 20:53

sniper is a webserver that simulates the BioJS registry (and helps if you want to load files)
