@greenify Plz check if I am right? In the X axis I plot the time and Y axis the number of downloads, the color represents the package-name. Since i plot I the created time and the download, I get a Bar graph and not a curve.

i think seb just meant a normal graph. See http://www.highcharts.com/demo/spline-irregular-time

In the data http://stats.biojs.net/api/packages/simple, I see the time data is just the created time for any package

Yes it is the time it's added to the registry
The idea was to have a simple growth line over the time

How do we create a simple growth line over the time. Since the count for different instants must be there to make a curve.

Yes the key point to this is a library that handles the scaling of irregular time intervals
Apart from that it is really just one linear curve

Feb 03 2015 21:13
http://jekyllrb.com/ is not much helpful
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Feb 03 2015 21:13
there is jekyll serve -w
you need to modify the files in _layout
it is a bit complicated as the markdown gets rendered to static html, but basically the idea is to have templates that one can extend

ok
Sebastian Wilzbach
@wilzbach
Feb 03 2015 21:18
so the main file that you need to edit is this https://github.com/biojs/edu/blob/master/_layouts/default.html

(fruittievia irc) you might (depending on your jekyll version) however need to run again if you change the layouts itself
