also the time-difference between the [0]th Package and 1package is too long. removing [0]th package creates a nice curve. http://picpaste.com/Screenshot_from_2015-02-05_05_33_26-eGHS6O4j.png

@prasunanand very cool. We could filter it more generically and only show packages over the period of the last three months or last six months.
The first link is broken Btw, but I wonder a bit why "Mar 1" is visible and there
Are points directly above March
I also would adjust the title & (x,y)-labels, but it already looks nice :)

For filter we can use ' stockcharts' . It has slider option

(priynag via irc) Heya! We are working towards building an Open Source IRC client called Scrollback.io where we log chats and use NLP to group them into meaningful conversations, like micro-forums.
(priynag via irc) Is it okay if we log #beets?
(fruittie via irc) priynag: this channel is called #biojs
(priynag via irc) Sorry...by bad

(priynag via irc) Can we log this room?
(fruittie via irc) priynag: this channel is already logged & open - so I don't see any reasons which should prevent you from logging
(fruittie via irc) priynag: however we would be interested in getting a link to the archives if you publish them online
(priynag via irc) fruittie: Yes..once we start logging this room, I will share the link with you here again :)
(fruittie via irc) priynag: thanks - see you then
(priynag via irc) fruittie: Thank you
(priynag via irc) Yes, see you soon :)

(TanujS via irc) fruittie: still working on ipython + galaxy project?
(TanujS via irc) fruittie: I want to know what basically that project wants to achieve. I am eager to work on that, Please guide!
David Dao

@TanujS we are discussion with galaxy about possible cooperation. In the meantime we published biojs2galaxy which allows you to create makos for Galaxy. See the sequence component and the MSA component which already supports galaxy.
Ipython as the name said focus on our goal to provide Ipython Integration using BioJS components
however it is still a draft and we are discussion exactly how we would like to implement this

@daviddao I think I can do this project 'galaxy + ipython'. I have previously worked with Standalone BLAST server configuration and made a web application. I find Galaxy somewhat similar.
@greenify Is my PR ok?

@prasunanand Nice work. Your timestamp parsing was crazy - I think I told you that we don't have March yet ;-)
I also made the chart a bit more fancy by showing the actual package names (+links to biojs.io). Further changes include blue dots for packages, a longer default date range zoom and xaxis max to the present, static files for highcharts and a general "clean" your PR.  for (var i = 0; i < json.bindings.length; i++) {
            var date=json.bindings[i].created;
            var row=date.split(/[-,T,:,.]/);
            var createdDate=Date.UTC(row[0],row[1],row[2],row[3],row[4],row[5]);
            var instance=[createdDate,json.bindings[i].count]
            parsedData.push(instance)
        };
versus
highChartsArr = data.map(function(p) {
                    return [new Date(p.created).getTime(), p.count]
});
I would mind if the your code worked, but it didn't (as I said it was showing the March 2015

Feb 05 2015 23:46
dont' worry - shit happens
biojs/biojs#111: One would need to know a lot about Backbone
biojs/biojs#71: The current approach with biojs2galaxy is suboptimal as it requires everyone to write a special galaxy.mako file and it only works for galaxy
Well in theory it would be great if we can combine those to projects ...
Prasun Anand
@prasunanand
Feb 05 2015 23:49
cool
btw, are there any more projects for GSOC under you. Just curious.
I wanna try hands on something simpler first.

doesn't have to be fancy ;-)
Here is a general list of ideas
but I guess most of them are way too complicated for a beginners project
So maybe you have already your own idea?
