Hi, guys. I am a student who’s studying mobile app development. I came across this beautiful open source project. I would like to learn more about it. When I went through the tutorial to install bioJS components in terminal, it threw me an error.

can you guys help me what is wrong with it?

my command was,
npm install biojs-io-newick —save
as described in the tutorial.

npm WARN enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/Users/Min/package.json'
npm WARN Min No description
npm WARN Min No repository field.
npm WARN Min No README data
npm WARN Min No license field.

this is what i got from the failure of installation.

@139NK913_twitter I would use the 'nvm' tool to manage your own version of 'npm'
@139NK913_twitter I bumped into lots of errors like this when I used the default npm packaged with my OS, but these went away when I used a recent, standalone version of npm (v4.2.0)
