Hey everyone, including @sidntrivedi012 ! We have a mockup for a new front page for biojs that needs to be converted to html + css. The mockup is here: https://github.com/biojs/organisation/issues/4#issuecomment-345782470
If you're interested in picking it up, leave a comment on the issue saying you are doing so, then get cracking! (note: you can ignore most of the early discussion in the issue itself if needed)

Should I use JS too? Or just HTML and CSS

You can if you wish! To give you a bit of background, we're looking to solve two problems: 1) http://biojs.io/ is completely client driven and as you may notice.... it's painfully slow. 2) we currently have 3 sites - biojs.net, biojs.edu, and biojs.io. This is somewhat confusing!
The mockup that you can see in the issue is designed to combine the three sites, but we want to make sure it's reasonably fast, too. So if you want to use js (or even react!) that's fine, but whatever solution we implement, it needs to be speedy
make sense? :)
