@sarthak-sehgal @yochannah I think it would be very helpful if we have a button which takes us to the top of page on Components page(there is infinite scrolling) and Component page(once we load readme there, it will be a long page too) and maybe on other pages as well, I opened an biojs/biojs-frontend#92 regarding this and will work on it, if you guys think its necessary.

@yochannah

Hey y'all! Here's my random tip of the day: When you're writing a project proposal for GSoC (or to be honest for most projects with a strict timeline) always make sure to leave time for testing / bug fixes and add some "bonus" features at the end of the timeline. If you have time to do the extra bits, that's great, but if you leave only non-essential stuff to the end, it doesn't matter if it doesn't happen if/when something goes more slowly than planned.
Nikhil Vats
@Nikhil-Vats
Thanks, will keep this in mind! @yochannah ! :)

Hey all, I'll be reviewing all the PRs by tomorrow. Apologies for the delay, had a lot on my plate last week! You all might want to start off messing around with the slush generator too :)

@yochannah
Hey all - quick reminder that now's a good time to be thinking about your project proposals if you haven't already!!
If you'd like to see a proposal from last year from a successful GSoC student (not BioJS but still relevant), this one is a nice example: https://github.com/nupurgunwant/GSoC-Proposal

@rkpattnaik780
Thanks @yochannah . That will be really helpful.

Hey y'all! I'm going to be out of the office for a few days, but will be back on April 1.
Sarthak Sehgal
@sarthak-sehgal
@all, it would be a good idea to get your proposals reviewed before submission. Since Yo will be back by April 1, it would be a great time to get them reviewed. :)

@sarthak-sehgal
@/all, a general advice for the proposal - ideally you should be able to follow the timeline you lay out comfortable, that is, do not overcommit and try to have a buffer period at the end. We generally look for a minimum viable product (MVP) to be created by the end of the summer.
Jeevan Prakash
@jeevan-jp
@sarthak-sehgal this is Jeevan Prakash from New Delhi. I have written a proposal for "Redesign the antiSMASH submission page using web components and Redux". I want to show it to mentors of the project before submitting
Mentors: Kai Blin, Simon Shaw
Can you plz help me in finding either of them
Ramakrishna Pattnaik
@rkpattnaik780
@jeevan-jp I could find the gitter handle of Kai Blin: https://gitter.im/kblin
Hope that helps.
Sarthak Sehgal
@sarthak-sehgal
@jeevan-jp you can submit the proposal draft on GSoC dashboard for review

Yo Yehudi
